It depends on how much you way. A lite person can self rescue with enough volume in one chamber but a heavy person would probably need both chambers inflated to assist in the self rescue.

Q: Can I use it wth my Greenland style paddle?

Yes! That's the short answer. The longer answer is that while you can use this paddle float with a greenland style paddle, the float may tend to slip off the end of the paddle since here isn't much of a swell in the paddle blade to hold the float on. I believe it's worth a try. I haven't actually use a paddle float with a Greenland style paddle, but I think that it might work better than some of us expect.
