Poor Quality hardware
My initial impression of these cleats is that they look like very good quality. When I attempted to attach the first one to my dock, I pre-drilled pilot holes and then attempted to screw the cleat to the dock. As soon as the “stainless steel” screw met the slightest bit of resistance the head stripped completely to the point where I could not reverse it and had to saw the screw to remove the cleat for return. Using a dull hacksaw the screw was cut far too easily. I suppose I could’ve gone to the local hardware store and bought real stainless steel screws, but the screws poor quality raises doubts about the quality of the cleats.

High quality, great finisn
These stainless cleats are exactly what I needed for my dock. I subbed in longer screws, but other than that they are perfect. Good size for my 26-30' boats.
