Meinl PercussionFR1NT Foot Rattle

I tried these rattles because I didn’t like the faint sound from ankle bells. I wanted something I could hear and these are working for me. They are not exactly a bell sound but I am happy with the sound they do make. They are also comfortable to wear!

This is just cool in every way. I use it when djembe drumming by keeping time with my foot. Love that extra sound. Also good for dancing as the slightest movement will give you some sound. Also, have used it strapped to my wrist as a hand held rattle. The fabric that the rattles are sewn to is very beautiful as well. I just all around love it.

Solid construction and a nice-looking item. The sound from this is definitely on the muted/low key side, which might be perfectly fine for your purposes. I had been hoping for something a bit more "cutting" and prominent...like what you get from a hand-held seed rattle. If a guitar player were to put this on their ankle and expect to get some percussion by tapping their foot to the music, I think they'd be disappointed...you'd need a strong, exaggerated movement to get the kind of sound I know that I'd prefer.

I’ve been using ankle shakers for years for my music, but these have impressed me. They have more or less the same timbre as my falling-apart old goat toe nail rattles. And they look nice and fresh and don’t smell like animal. Plus they cut through the mix louder than my old ones so they are more functional for less effort. Awesome product.

We use this for a Special Needs music group. The sound is wonderful. We wanted to use it for kids who couldn't grasp things. The idea was to strap it to their wrists so that they could see and feel the instrument (a multi sensory thing). The strap is big so, it doesn't stay on their wrists as long as we would like before it flies off. We're trying to think of a way to adjust it, but there are so many of the wooden "bells" on it. If you can use this on your ankle, you're golden!

This is a good rattle with a pleasant, earthy sound. I have it available for people in my kirtan gatherings to play. It’s easy for even a beginner to use. It appears to be well made and is holding up well.

This foot rattle is great! I bought one for each ankle but wound up using both on one ankle. I love it so much I am buying two more to layer on over my first purchase.The sound is clear and the wood is a fabulous addition to other types of rattles. On my opposite hand is use two Meinl Motion Shakers worn as rings while I am on a djembe drum. I'm a one woman rhythm section. What FUN! The Velcro can attach multiple units together so the possibilities are endless.

Just what my husband was looking for

In der Beschreibung steht "Der Riemen lässt sich schnell verstellen [...]". In Wahrheit kann man den Riemen überhaupt nicht verstellen, sondern nur durch den Klettverschluss einfach auf und zu machen. Der Faden mit dem der Klettverschluss angenäht ist war schon zu Beginn teilweilse abgelöst, aber der Klettverschluss hält trotzdem noch fest. Sonst alles OK soweit.

Die Rasseln sind von guter Qualität und haben einen guten Klang. Durch den Klettverschluss für jedes Bein geeignet. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen
