The 836Lfnc liquid flux: Unleaded, no clean contains a homogenous mixture of Halogen-free, low-solids organic flux. It exhibits excellent wetting and fluxing activities, and it leaves essentially no residue on the assembly after soldering. The 836Lfnc flux may be used for both leaded and lead-free applications. A chiseled tip provides exact delivery of the flux to the surface. The 836Lfnc is excellent for prototyping and rework/repair of printed circuit boards. It works well on switches, sockets, heat sinks, chip carriers, and surface mounted device pads.

THIS PRODUCT IGNITES !....I ALWAYS USE "STAY BRIT FLUX", WHEN SOLDERING, I WILL DRIBBLE SOME FLUX ON MY SOLDER JOINT TO MAKE THE SOLDER FLOW ...THIS FLUX FLARED UP AND BURNED MY MUSTACHE. IN 50 YEARS OF SOLDERING, I'VE NEVER USE A FLUX THAT IGNITES....ALSO. I CANT GET A REFUND, SO I'M STUCK WITH IT.

Stick with liquid rosin flux
Does seem to work to some extent, however it volatilizes easily, and is far more irritating than pretty much any other flux I've worked with. It also appears to char if you're working at higher temperatures like I tend to using a cheap iron in lead-free solder. At lower temperatures it seems to clean solder, but doesn't really allow the solder to stick like a good rosin flux will. Overall, this is like 70% the cost of rosin flux for a fraction the performance.

Waste of Money
This doesn't work as flux for soldering, it smells like Acetone/Nail Polish Remover, it evaporates very fast when trying to solder and provides ZERO abilities of what flux does.

It works, but the description should have been clearer.
I didn't realize this wasn't "normal" liquid flux when I ordered it. It is definitely NOT, your typical electronic hobbyist rosin flux. It's made primarily for wave soldering. That said, it DOES work. But it's not easy. I used a syringe, and got decent results soldering headers onto a PCB. It might even be better than rosin flux for this type of thing. But I went ahead and bought a liter of rosin flux anyway.

very little flux component left after evaporation
Label and MSDS all indicate this is ethanol mixed with isopropanol that would fully evaporate before the copper and solder reach the bonding temperature. Based on an evaporation test on clean glass (see photos) there is a tiny amount of residue. I assume that is their off-label flux added in homeopathy-style amounts. $17 for a few milligrams of actual flux is a steep price. I wish the vendor were transparent as to what the concentration of the active component should be. Have yet to test during soldering.

Look for FLUX elsewhere..........However
This stuff smells like rubbing alcohol. And evaporates like it as well. I'm not satisfied with the performance.I've come to realize that this product is probably supposed to be used as flux CLEANER. NOT actually flux. Don't know if it's a labeling issue or what. But it's really great for CLEANING PCBs.

Not a fan. I prefer thicker flux
This product is VERY thin. I didn't like it as much as "traditional" rosin. Easy to make a mess. Watch out for SDS if in an industrial environment. Nasty stuff.

Can't Soder without it!
If you are a sodering hobbiest this is a 100% must buy in order to get the job done! What does that mean?Well, if you are working on an RBG mod you would not be able to soder two points of a circuit together.GET THIS PRODUCT! You won't regret it!

Not good for stained glass!!
Used it for stained glass. Didn’t turn out well. Evaporated very quickly and oxidized the copper foil. Didn’t matter how much or little I put on, would not solder to copper foil. Also left tarnish rough spots on the solder. (I bought another type of flux and it worked amazingly so I’m 99.9% sure it was this brand of flux. I was even able to redo the pcs that didn’t turn out well from using this brand)Maybe it would be good for another type of application, but I do not recommend for stained glass.

Economical format for frequent use.
Good for desoldering and desoldering preparation smd components.

Works.
Has a fast evaporation rate. I dont use it with hot air obviously. But for a quickie resolder, its fine with a rosin core solder job. :)

Very nice flux to use
Nice flux, easy to clean up and it’s nice and clear.I have no worries about using lots of flux. This container will last the year.
