A 5 Star Review but a DIRE WARNING. DIRE.
Gents, for me, lotion-style shaving cream is pretty hit or miss when it comes to getting a close, comfortable shave. However, I used the cooling Crema cream to shave my face, and it indeed is very slick and gives a very close shave. The cooling action is probably the strongest I've experienced, but it's not uncomfortable. On those mornings where you don't want to get out of bed, it will definitely put a much needed perk in your step. It smells great, too. Not overbearing, just a light scent. Five stars when used on your face. Now for the DIRE WARNING about where you use it: I take pride in keeping myself well-groomed head to toes. It's 2024, and I know I'm not alone. So, let's be honest: No one likes a hairy egg. Imagine reaching into a carton of eggs and finding a hairy one. You'd be like, "This is not acceptable. I'm filing a class action lawsuit and alerting the FDA." Same goes for the people who experience you in your birthday suit. Just ask them, "Would you prefer silky smooth, non-hairy eggs or do you like kiwi fruit/rambutans (look them up)?" The vast, vast majority of answers will be beautifully smooth, shiny eggs. Anyway, I would advise you strongly not to use this on any eggs. Too spicy for eggs. And don't be lulled into a false sense of security because you tried putting it on eggs but don't feel alarmed right away. Before you know it, you'll be doing interpretive dance, crying and laughing at the same time, trying to figure out a way to extinguish the cooling fire. But, you, like me, will discover that, like your mouth when eating really spicy food, nothing helps but the excruciating passage of time. Water, ice, milk, tortilla chips--Nope. Now, I know that some people can eat really spicy food without blinking an eye, and I know some of you will ignore me or try it just for fun. If you live, I promise that you and the people around you will end up astonished at how smooth eggs can be. You'll no longer use the analogy, "Smooth as a baby's butt." You will say, "Smooth as a freshly shaved pair of ............ eggs." One more thing. I don't have direct experience because experimenting with eggs was more than enough, but it still probably goes without saying that you should, at all costs, avoid putting this stuff on the business end of sausages, pickles, mushrooms, twinkies, Geoducks, etc. And, bless your heart if you try, but please have a fire extinguisher or 911 on the line if you dare apply it around the outside of a pineapple ring, doughnut, or bagel. To reiterate, this cream is amazing. From the neck up. 5 stars.

A close shave, smooth skin afterwards and nice fragrances.
I tried a tube of Cremo about 6 months and I am still using it, so it is obviously long-lasting! Cremo moisturizes my face - a big benefit. Very close shaves - another big benefit. I have used the mint scent as well as the citrus. Both are really nice, very hi quality products.

The best of all shaving creams
For several years I've been using Cremo shaving cream and was happy with it, but I decided to try the Palo Santo version. It was a great discovery to find that it has a better formula than the other versions. This one is thicker and creamier, offering a more comfortable shave as the razor blades glide incredibly smoothly. It also lasts much longer than the other versions due to its greater density and improved emollient formula. And the palo santo scent is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Different than your traditional shave cream - but works pretty good
UPDATED REVIEW: After a response from a representative from Cremo, I decided to try this again. I seem to have been using this wrong thinking it would generate a rich lather - apparently, that is not how this product works. I was using it with a shave brush attempting to use it like a traditional shave cream. So I followed the directions exactly and got much better results with revised expectations. The product is not designed to generate heavy, rich lather but produce a very slick surface for shaving. When used exactly according to the directions it works much better. It does not generate a lather much at all,but does create a very slick coating for shaving. Overall I'd rate it as follows: Slickness: 5/5 - just as, if not more slick than traditional shave creams. It is water-activated, so your skin must be wet. I found that as it dried, you needed to keep adding water. Irritation: 5/5 - I had virtually no irritation in two shaves. I do a "2 pass" shave with a DE blade. Shave closeness: 5/5 - Results in a very close shave, even though there are a lot of variables like razor, blade, etc. Overall, I changed from 3/5 to give it a 4/5 stars for two primary reasons: (1) Personal preference, I like shave creams that produce a rich, creamy lather. This product produces little to no lather by design, which is just a personal preference matter. (2) I found that it tends to dry out quickly when shaving. After I apply it to my face, I found that it dries quickly and needs to be rewetted. Water is the key - if its wet, it produces a very slick surface on your skin that makes for a close, irritation-free shave...as long as you keep it hydrated with water. Shave creams that produce a rich lather don't tend to dry out during the shave. I hope this helps. Thanks to Fred from Cremo for the tips on how to use this and what to expect. It is not intended to be used like a traditional shave cream that I'm used to. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is OK...not great, not bad, but just OK. I am always looking for new shave products to try, and I figured I'd give this shave creme a test run. The price wasn't bad, but compared to other shave cremes I've tried over the years, this is not one of my favorites. Tops on my list are Taylor of Old Bond Street products - they have the best shave cremes I've found regardless of price. Smooth, makes a great lather, and available in a variety of flavors. The best combination of price and performance shave creme I've found are C.O. Bigelow products. These are the best at a very cost-competitve price (I can get two tubes for $15.00). Its not as smooth, slick and lathery as the TOBS, but, it comes in a close second at a great price. The Cremo product is about the same price as the C.O. Bigelow, and doesn't produce as good a lather or smoothness. The one thing I do like is the cool menthol flavor does produce a very nice cooling effect on your skin.

Very impressed and extremely satisfied!
I never thought I would be writing a review on shaving cream, however this product deserves praise. Let me start by admitting that I have not tried very many different shaving creams in my lifetime. Although I do have fairly sensitive skin, more so when I was in my teens and twenties, I just never really put much thought into the type of cream I used. I always believed that the type of razor mattered most, and thus I always gravitated toward the latest and greatest Gillette had to offer, finally settling on their Fusion 5 blade razor. As for shaving creams, I have always purchased the gels from Gillette or Edge. I have used foams from time to time but never really cared for them and only really used them if I had to purchase a travel size of if they were provided at a hotel. I began researching different shave creams/gels when I decided to purchase bulk toiletries on Amazon and a simple search for shave creams returned more options than I had time to consider. I quickly narrowed my search down to some shave soaps and this product based on reviews alone. All of them had excellent reviews and probably all would have been worthy of purchase, however I did not have a badger hair brush so I decided to give Cremo a try. The price point on Cremo was much more attractive than the soaps and only a few dollars more than the gels I had been using. The Cremo arrived a week ago and in that time I have shaved three times. I followed the instructions to a tee, choosing the hot water with a cloth option since I do not like to shave in the shower. The Cremo Cream lathered nicely on my skin, almost invisible but not so much that I couldn't tell it was on. It lubricates my skin exceptionally well and permits my razor to glide smoothly allowing an extra close shave. I apply Cremo twice per shave, the first time so that I can shave with the grain, then I apply it once more and shave against the grain. Rinsing off the cream was very easy and fast, and my skin felt very smooth to the touch and refreshing. It also has a very nice smell which I have come to appreciate. The verdict for me is that the is a very satisfying shave cream and I definitely will not be going back to the gels that I used in the past. One more thing I really appreciate about this is the tube it comes in. The gels I used in the past came in pressurized containers that always ended up messy and sometimes even rust would form on the canister no matter how hard I tried to keep them clean and dry. The squeeze tube that Cremo comes in is very easy to keep clean and it does not ooze out after use. For those who are interested, I used this cream with a Gillette Fusion 5 blade the first two shaves and a Edwin Jagger DE89 Lbl for the last shave. While searching for shave creams I stumbled across double edge razors and decided to try one out. You can see my review for the double edge under the Edwin Jagger DE89 Lbl. I have only shaved one time with the Edwin Jagger and I already know that I am sticking with it. The Edwin Jagger combined with the Cremo Cream was the best shave I have ever experienced. I now know that creams and razors matter and only wish that I had considered these great products years earlier.

Excellent!!
Gives Art of Shaving a run for their money!! (For reference, Iโm a woman, and I shave my entire body.) My bf introduced me to Art of $$$having, which was a huge upgrade from soap, all the grocery store โwomenโsโ shave creams Iโve tried, or the Gillette foam in a can that my dad uses. But I found their preshave oil to be far too thick for me, and I couldnโt help but use way too much. I find their shaving cream to be excellent, however, so I used it for at least 2-3 years. But they are extremely expensive, so I continuously looked for an alternative. I found Cremo at T๐ฏ, and I bought the womenโs lavender. But I found it to be lacking a bit. I called Cremo and told them I was an avid AoS user, had tried their product and wanted to continue using it, but found that it was still insufficient on its own because I still needed to use mineral/baby oil first. Cremo said you donโt need preshave oil because itโs incorporated into their formula. So I went back to AoS because I was being petulant about that response. ๐ค๐ I couldโve simply continued to apply mineral oil first since thatโs what I was doing with AoS first anyway! After a while, I saw the sensitive formula of Cremo and tried it. Iโve never looked back!! Yes, AoS is great, but Cremo is actually better for me! I donโt know if their lavender scent and sensitive formulations have different โslickeningโ ingredients, but whatever it is, their sensitive formula works amazingly well for me!! A lot of men have posted reviews seeming to rave or complain about how many shaves they get from one tube of Cremo. But when youโre coming from years of paying AoS prices, that kind of talk is laughable. You donโt have to do any math to know Cremo is much more economical than AoS. That said, my bf still uses AoS, but he also makes 3x my income. If you used AoS and are looking for a more budget - friendly alternative, look no further .than this brand! While Cremo refuses to produce shaving oil, if you feel you still need that, I have found that mineral oil, aka baby oil, works very well for me. But I had also always found AoS shave oil to be too thick anyway. I will likely never go back to AoS products because I don't appreciate being asked to pay an exorbitant price for toiletries made by P&G. I do not see them as a luxury brand. I find that with mineral oil and Cremo shave cream in any scent, but especially in the sensitive skin version, my skin comes out cleanly shaven, comfortable, and I get no or very few nicks.

Smooth Shave, Sensitive Skin Not So Much
The smoothness is very evident, as the razor slides effortlessly through my hair and I've found myself suffering less from nicks and cuts than with normal foam. It goes a long way, meaning you'll have this for a good period of time. The only problem with this product is its marketing towards sensitive skin. After about a month of using it, I developed an irritation which I've never had before when using other products. Maybe it's just because of one of the ingredients, but it's hard to not be affected by this when it's supposed to cater to sensitive skin.
