Very easy to set up and break down in a couple ...
I purchased the R6RT for hauling fairly lightweight but bulky gear from my car to an event site. I needed at least 42" cargo area length. I wheel primarily over paved surfaces, with only short segments of grass, with total trips up to 3/4 mile at a stretch. This cart has been a lifesaver. With the help of a couple bungee cords to secure my sometimes unwieldy pile of gear, I can unload my midsize SUV in a single trip. Pros: Folds down small enough to actually fit into the vehicle without taking up too much of the space intended for all the stuff it's supposed to help haul. Very easy to set up and break down in a couple seconds. Navigates paved surfaces easily and does well on hard turf, but I'm not pushing the 500lb limit. I wouldn't try to navigate mud or sand. Appears to be built well The wheel brake is easy to use and has worked perfectly for me when loading/unloading on a slope. Downsides: The upright handles are not completely rigid, though they move very little when loaded and with the bungees attached, and this hasn't been a problem for my use The wheels on this model are pretty narrow and small. It'd be really nice to be able to upgrade the wheels without doubling (or more) the price of the cart by going to some of the other models. They work well enough. The cart itself is narrow. This is great for passing through doors, not so great for stability. Be careful on lateral slopes with a tall load to avoid capsizing. Additional note: One of the rear wheel bearings in my cart came missing 3 rollers. The Rock N Roller customer service was very easy to reach and had a replacement bearing at my door immediately. Huge kudos for their excellent product support.

Perfect for video production
I needed a cart that could fit in my GMC Acadia and also hold all of my video production equipment. It folds up really small and can hold a lot when setup. Very useful and worth it.

After 40+ Years of Moving Musical Equipment, This Is the Best Cart I've Used
The Rock-N-Roller is an exemplar of outstanding design. To say that a Rock-N-Roller is simply a folding multi-cart is like saying a Steinway is a piano or that Selmer makes saxophones. Other manufacturers make pianos and saxophones, and many of them are excellent instruments, but Steinways and Selmers are iconic, class-defining brands. That is how I think of Rock-N-Roller multi-carts. While other companies make folding carts, Rock-N-Roller—like Steinway and Selmer—has created a product that defines its category. I say this from experience. I am a recently retired music teacher and conductor. In my 20s and 30s, I performed professionally most weekends, hauling instruments, amplifiers, stands, and other equipment to rehearsals and gigs. As a music educator, I spent decades moving everything from sound equipment and percussion instruments to music stands and concert gear. Now that I am retired and have returned to performing regularly, I found myself once again looking for a better way to transport equipment. After years of making do with various carts, dollies, and improvised solutions, I finally purchased a Rock-N-Roller. Rock-N-Roller is iconic because of its unwavering focus on the needs of gigging musicians, as well as DJs, photographers, and other professionals who regularly transport equipment. As a musician, you want to move your gear from home to the venue and back again as easily and efficiently as possible. That is exactly what Rock-N-Roller helps you do. Describing all the thoughtful design choices that went into these carts would take pages. You can find those details on Rock-N-Roller's website and in countless online reviews. Suffice it to say that the company's attention to detail has produced a design that is simple, intuitive, adaptable, expandable, exceptionally strong, and remarkably durable. Yes, there are other multi-carts on the market, and many of them are very good—often at a lower price. But if you want a truly great multi-cart, the one that helped redefine how musicians transport their gear, just get the Rock-N-Roller. You'll have the confidence of knowing you bought the best, and you'll likely enjoy using it for many years to come. After a lifetime of moving equipment, I've learned that the right tool can make all the difference. The Rock-N-Roller is one of those rare products that not only meets expectations but exceeds them. I only wish I had bought one years ago.

Great but only if used CAREFULLY and with your eyes open to its flaws.
I am now on my third R6RT Cart. I use it to haul a complete drum set, including 4-5 drums, cymbals, hardware, etc. and can do it in one properly packed trip. I can't live without this cart, so when this breaks (as I'm sure, like the first two, it will unless these problems get remedied) I'll just grumble but buy another because nothing else on the market does the job it does. The problem is that the has at least two major design flaws (those engineering awards they brag about should be reconsidered): In using it as an extended cart (which is a must for hauling a drum set), the end handles can only stay upright (unfolded) and in position for use in pulling or pushing the cart by releasing them from their folding storage position by pressing down (or stepping on) a steel cable on the bottom of each handle. That cable is inaccessibly attached inside the handle and is vulnerable to becoming detached by that pressing or stepping action. Detaching that cable limits its ability to be folded and easily transported or stored. So FIRST, DON'T EVER STOMP on that cable to release the handles at either end. Just press (or step) on it firmly but without excessive force or thrust; just enough to release the handle and no more. I've caused two to detach and some friends who use these carts to move heavy audio equipment have also broken two of them the same way. Extra hands helping to open or close the cart may jeopardize its life unless they know what they are doing. A broken or detached cable is virtually irreparable except (I'm told; never had the time to fool with it) after extensive delays for replacement parts plus difficulties reinstalling the cables. If only one cable is disabled you can leave the corresponding handle in an upright position and collapse the other one, and simply break your back maneuvering it in and out of your vehicle with the unfolded handle sticking straight up. Not exactly why you bought this, but... SECOND, while common sense dictates that you PUSH the loaded cart with the swivel wheels closest to you (think of yourself steering the rear of a hook and ladder), and that works perfectly, DO NOT EXERT MUCH PRESSURE PUSHING IT OVER A BUMP, THRESHOLD, ETC. When the handle is upright and you push on it, the force of the push is distributed throughout the length of the handle, which is resisted at its bottom by metal TABS that have now been added but which are thin and simply welded on. Those tabs can barely take the force necessary to move the rated 500 lb. load, and simply break off if stressed by resistance to the load, as when the cart encounters a threshold and requires an extra pushing thrust to overcome it. An earlier version of the cart had a sturdier solution but that design was abandoned for some reason (it exists on my first cart). Now, when all of the force is exerted from an extra strong push on those thin metal tabs it breaks them off the cart, which can no longer be maneuvered and thus becomes a stand for flower pots. I realized that vulnerability after I acquired the second cart after the cable broke on the first one, but, people being generally kind and helpful, someone rushed over to help me when I stalled my second cart on a threshold and before I could stop him pushed it too strongly, which broke both of those tabs (there's one on each side of each handle). Note that when you pull the cart instead of pushing it the bottom of the handle pushes against some nice thick structural steel and so even a good pulling tug should not hurt the cart or the handle. Unfortunately, when you pull that load it not only strains your back but you can't see where the hell you're going. Given that this is now my third cart, and this model has now been on the market for several years, I don't understand why those "award winning engineers" haven't solved these issues. My descriptions are of ordinary, everyday uses, not extraordinary applications The problems my friends have had are similar. Having said all this, do as I have. Buy it because when it works it is far better than anything on the market. But until they fix this (and if they do I may buy a fourth rather than risk this vulnerability) use it carefully, and regard it as inevitably disposable, although I use my original "pre-tab" cart unfolded permanently to move drums just from my studio to my vehicle and back, so its vehicle storage capability is no longer so important. Hope this was helpful, including to the company.

Folds up small, strong, lasts for years, well made.
This was the first cart I bought to haul stuff for work. It folds up small, is strong, and well made. The cart is still going strong. First one purchased in 2012. It is great for hauling works stuff, things around the yard, and great to take on trips. It works beautifully as your own cart to pack your suitcases on to roll from car to hotel. Buy one! You will not regret it.

Has stood the test of time - one of my best purchases
Actually this is more of a 4.5 star review. Too bad I can't go up a half. Loses 1 star because rubber adhesive tape on rails was already peeling off at the corners when it arrived (I am going to contact the manufacturer on that and we'll see how they respond). Just put this together a few days ago but I can already tell that it is going to be super useful. Fits in the trunk well and has sturdy construction. Easy to assemble. Based on some reviews here regarding 'wheels falling off' I am assuming some people don't understand how a cotter pin works. Hint: You have to bend the ends back to hold it in place or it will fall out causing your wheel to fall off at the most inopportune time. Speaking of wheels, I like the wheels. Even though they are solid rubber, they have good soft feel and absorb shock better than most solid rubber wheels. Rolls very easy. I bought this to move stuff from my the underground garage to my apartment on the third floor in one trip. I also purchased some flat bungee cords which look like they are going to be a welcome addition for holding stuff steady. Excited to see the many uses for this over time. Update April 2017 -- still going strong. Going up to 5 stars. This thing is awesome for those who live in apts hauling stuff from garage etc. The rubber adhesive that I mention above stuck fine when I pushed it back down. I used this to move all the boxes and some other stuff for my 2 bedroom apt. Many trips but this would carry a whole carload full of boxes no problem. I can't imagine moving without it. Also for bring groceries in from Sams or Costco. So many uses. My suggestion would be to get some really long nylon bungee cords to keep stuff stable (Keeper 06104 Ultra 48" Black/Yellow Flat Bungee Cord, 2 Pack) and you will be happy. I love this thing!

Amazing, a must have for the gigging drummer.
This review is for the R6RT cart, and I have to say that this is one of the best purchases I have ever made.As a regularly gigging musician (drummer) I spent years hauling in my kit a couple pieces at a time, constantly locking and unlocking the car and making multiple trips. Eventually I grew wise to the ways of the hand truck and purchased an industrial grade one from a local hardware store. Although it properly fit my equipment it was large and heavy and took up too much space in my SUV to be practical. Enter the R6RT cart from Rock N Roller. This thing was a god send, and has made the worst part of being a musician (load in/load out) so much more tolerable, and saves me a huge amount of time during set up. I play on a small "portable" kit and the R6RT fits all of my equipment snugly and easily, and breaks down to a convenient size that fits perfectly in the trunk of my car. The lightweight aspect of this cart is another huge plus. I also love the "no flat" wheels (a problem in the past with industrial hand trucks) which slide smoothly over most surfaces including grass and small rocks while remaining stable. I would recommend this cart 1000x over to any musician that has gear to haul. For anyone thinking of buying this cart, so not hesitate. However, the R6RT fits my small drumset perfectly, but anyone with a "normal" size kit will definitely need a larger cart; but if the R6RT is anything to go by, the bigger carts should be up to the same incredible standard.

Es pequeño pero muy practico
Pequeño pero bien diseñado, buen uso para mover mi equipo de video sin la necesidad de andar cargando maletas. Cabe fácil en cualquier vehículo.

Love it!
Bought a used one. Saved $100. Didn’t arrive pretty. Scratched a bit so now I don’t have to worry about scratching it! All works like it should and will greatly move my music gear to practice and other heavy items around the house.

Sturdy, convenient and affordable
Bought it for a move I needed to make on my own. I had to move all kinds of different sized pieces of furniture and boxes etc. This made it so easy. Set up was simple. Took only a few minutes. The ability to lengthen it and shorten for storage was also super helpful. Can take a lot of weight while the wheels move smoothly. Just an excellent and affordable cart. Multi-use.
