The ‘Mids’ are always the most prized!
Just as a follow up to the complaint here concerning ‘embarrassment’ over the size of the Jersey Royals?! I lived, owned and ran several hotels with my family in Jersey for over 25 years and can confidently say, indeed guarantee, that the smaller ‘Jersey Mids’, were always the tastiest and most prized of the entire crop!All Jersey Royals harvested and stored correctly are beautiful, but those small ‘Jersey Mids’ are incredible and certainly deserve a defence compliments all of their own. There is literally no taste quite like them..mmmm

Jersey Royal Potatoes (the best)
These were disappointing, firstly were short on date, so I decided to use them straight away. Half of the potatoes were already green and mouldy, had blackened damaged areas, which meant that those had to be thrown away! Smaller than anticipated and required to be peeled and trimmed, before cooking them, which left only a handful for two people. Although they were reduced, they were not worth the money.Nothing like the previous jersey royal potatoes, which only cost £1.50, provided in the previous week's delivery.
