What all this mumbo jumbo actually means is that if you had two immersion blenders that both ran off of 120 volts AC (a wall plug/outlet) and one of them was rated at 180 Watts and the other one was rated at 300 Watts, the 300 Watt blender WOULD have more power than the 180 Watt blender.
