Contemporary and Functional.
Nicer than the pictures online. The face is flush with the body so it’s sleek. Good quality and size. Easy to program time, alarms, etc. Adjustable noise level.

Great replacement
Finally, a good replacement for our 25+ year old clock radio. Two alarms, red numerals that don't annoy night sight, adjustable brightness so the clock isn't too bright. In spite of other reviews, it isn't difficult to set. The radio alarm does shut itself off, probably at about an hour (i left the room at 45 minutes after it came on.)

Reasonably Decent
Not the best clock radio I've ever had but far from the worst. Pros: Wide range of of light setting for the display. Volume ramps up to preset value when alarm goes off. Two independent alarm times. Small form factor. Cons: Independent antenna wire instead of built into the plug wire is ugly just hanging there. Sound quality isn't all that good, just acceptable. Not very easy to set up because the user instructions are all but non-existent.

This device has a design flaw
This clock radio has a nice big display. The controls are little hard to use (every button does at least two different things) but not *too* bad (except as discussed below). However, it gets one star because it has an unacceptable design flaw. If you set the alarm to "radio" instead of "buzzer", sometimes the buzzer goes off anyway. To reproduce: Set an alarm and set it to "radio", rather than "buzzer". Listen to audio using an external device (aux) (rather than AM or FM). Turn off the audio and wait for the alarm to go off. Expected behavior: The radio turns on. Actual behavior: The buzzer sounds. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the power button does double duty as the audio select button. After turning audio on, the same button is used to select between AM/FM/AUX. To truly turn audio off, you have to hold down the power button for two seconds. They were just too cheap to include one extra button for these two different functions. Since the aux functionality is pretty pointless (the speaker on this device is small and most likely not any better than your phone's speakers anyway), aux mode is indistinguishable from truly being off, and many users will just end up doing the natural thing to turn off audio (pressing the power button without holding it down), and which actually puts the audio on aux. Which then later triggers the incorrect alarm behavior when the alarm goes off. Absolutely do not buy this if you expect the radio alarm to function properly. This device should be removed from stores and not sold again until this is fixed.

Works, but very confusing instructions
Love how large the numbers are, and that it's dimmable. Radio works even with antenna wire mostly rolled up, tucked down wall by plug. The instructions are written ridiculously small (had to use camera on phone to enlarge enough to see) and not clear at all. It took a lot of trial and error just to figure out how to turn the alarm off for the weekend (keep pressing alarm button to scroll thru options until alarm light turns off) Still haven't figured out "2nd alarm" for different days as stated in description, but not a deal breaker. They've been making radio alarm clocks for many decades, + they were always very easy to use - they haven't made them better, just more complicated... Timex : if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Dimmable LED and gradual volume setting are very nice.
Ahh, the device everyone loves to absolutely hate! This clock works well for me, especially the dimmable LED display so it doesn't light up the room and the setting to allow the alarm volume to ramp up gradually. Programming is a little 'fiddley' to figure out at first but once you use it for a while, this concern fades away.

no charging port
It works better than my 35 YO clock radio. I am a little disappointed, the FAB said that it had a "Special Feature= Charging Port". Presumably a 5V USB jack, that it didn't have. The only power port it had was for the wall wart power supply to plug into. Also contrary to the FAB description "Power Source=Corded Electric" again no line cord. Another listed feature that was absent "Aux Speaker: Play music through the wide range; 2” speaker when you connect an audio device to the line-in jack;" No problem I don't want to play music through a 2" speaker. The feature that I bought it for was the low battery alarm indicator, that actually works so that one is good. :-) I had a plan for the USB power output but can live without that. It was not very easy to set up, but this is not my first rodeo. I could make the features that were actually there, work.
