So many people have left reviews that the Velcro is on the inside of the protector, but you have to flip it inside out so the fake sheepskin is against your skin. That way the Velcro is on the outside of your foot. I bought these after foot surgery once I got my cast off, as trying to sleep in bed without any support was rubbing on the back of my heel. I have tried so many other things, but this was perfect and was able to sleep well without heel pain! Have not had them long enough to comment on the shedding, but to come in a package, so I feel like if one breaks down I’ll just throw it away.

These heal protectors actually solved my problem. Sleeping on my back lead to very sensitive skin on the back of my heals. The redness and discomfort I used to have disappeared. I highly recommend the Sheepette Heal Protectors!

My client loves the heel booties. I did notice some scratches from the velcro strap though. A flap to cover skin would be helpful.
