The Mass: Four Encounters with Jesus That Will Change Your Life

I read this book once and was aware of the Four Encounters with Jesus at each mass after reading it. I then used it to teach others about the mass and then realized I missed a lot the first time a read it. It is a beautiful book on the mass, and I finally understand the sacrifice Jesus made for us was once for all. But he loves us so much we get to offer not only Jesus but ourselves to God our Father, day after day, week after week. And at the prayers of the faithful we can stand in for all our relatives who no longer go to mass or only go occasionally.

Detailed explanation of all of the aspects of the Mass with emphasis on the Eucharist. The corner stone of the Catholic Faith. The author makes the reader realize the importance of engaging in the Mass not just attending. The Mass becomes a wonderful treasure to those attending if we understand all that Dr. Curran writes. People who do not understand why non-catholics can not receive communion at the Mass should read this book.

It is an amazing book, with well thought out explanations that give the reader a very close spiritual look at what happens at Mass. We are using it in our RCIA program.

I wish I had read this book 50 years ago. I bought 4 more copies to share with othrr long time Catholics. Thank you Tom Curran

It was one of the best books I have read explaining the different parts of the Mass and our involvement in the Mass.
