But even within a small group there are smaller groups of friends, best friends and, here's where it gets complicated, boyfriends and girlfriends. Sometimes relationships just develop in a way where you're not exactly sure what you are to the other person. Which is the problem Tsukimi has when it comes to Io. Io's as tall and easygoing as Tsukimi is short in both temper and stature, but he also seems to be totally clueless about how she's starting to feel. Yet, at times, he's almost too affectionate. It's just confusing and irritating. And their prankster friends Mayoi and Sakai aren't much help. Especially Mayoi, as it gives her one more thing to tease Tsukimi over. Hime, the fifth member of their usual gang of five isn't much better, because she's not really well connected to reality anyway. Which leaves Tsukimi stuck in a quandary. Are she and Io just best friends? And is it worth risking that for what Tsukimi wants? It is absolutely hilarious and sweet; the characters are absolutely wonderful. Place to Place (Acchi Kocchi) focuses on a group of friends. Tsumiki is small, abnormally strong, and has many of the characteristics of a tsundere. She is head over heels in love with Io; everyone knows that except Io, who seems to be pretty dense when it comes to that. He seems to have some kind of special feelings for Tsumiki, but doesn't seem to realize that he does. (Not that I don't like Io. He is a sweet, thoughtful, intelligent, and talented guy). Mayoi and Sakai are loveable tricksters who bring a wonderful element of humor to the show (they often end up being used to bring some slapstick humor in as well). The main group is complete with Hime, a sweet, innocent girl that I just love to pieces.Some might complain that this doesn't have much of a plot and in a sense it doesn't; the characters are not on some quest or working towards any particular goal, but that is one of the things I love about it. I can relax when I watch it; I don't have to worry about the characters getting hurt. Made it to episode 9 before I throw up my hands and surrendered. The characters are very cute, design AND personality. There are plenty funny and cute moments in this series. The main guy is a straight up cringe factory though. The writing in general is kinda weak. He's a total gary sue which I guess could be ok in a show like this, but idk. Also the one girl that nose bleeds 10 times an episode, that joke got old fast. The main girl is a kuudere/tsundere and is almost always acting cute. The orange hair girl is prob my favorite, love that personality type and her relationship with the blonde dude. Idk, it's not terrible but I'm obv not the shows target demographic.
