Absolute Garbage
When I searched the Yamaha part number for transom anodes one of the results was this one. I decided to try it because it would arrive sooner than the Yamaha branded part. This was a mistake. I've learned my lesson and will (in the future) buy only the Yamaha OEM parts. When I opened the package it looked like it would work fine. When I began the installation I found that the mounting holes did not line up with the holes in the transom bracket. It wasn't worth the time and effort to return it so I re-drilled the mountings holes to match the transom mounting holes and was able to salvage it for use. I don't know how companies such as this can get away with selling such junk. Of course it is made in China and that should have been my first clue but decided to give it a try. My advise for anyone searching for outboard parts would be to avoid the Chinese junk and buy the OEM parts. I wish I good give zero stars but one is the minimum.
