As an outdoorsman, hunter, fisher, self proclaimed chef, I love these. I use them a lot for fish and game food storage and also use them for sous vide cooking and marinating. Im pretty sure my individual usage impacts their stock price. lol. These bags are tried and true, durable, good size, 1 or 2 gallon options, easy to close and open, and maintains function in hot or cold usage. The seal or the zipper never has any defects and its just all around a good product, never leaks and is reliable.

All I can say is that Ziplock is the best quality and the bags are a good thickness. None of them are easy to close but these are the best.

They changed the thickness of the bag months ago and because of that I had to remove a star in the "Durability" category. I thought it felt a bit thinner when I pulled the first one out of the brand new box and I found out the hard way when I was using a bag one day to mix something and the bag popped. It had never done that before. Fortunately it wasn't anything messy so aside from the bag breaking nothing happened as far as spills or the contents flying all over the kitchen. Since they're not meant for that anyway I couldn't complain. I used to use the old ones for mixing food and condiments when they were thicker and I can't do that anymore. Now that that's out of the way I have to say I absolutely love these bags and don't know what I ever did without them before. When TSA changed their restrictions I started using them to pack my tiny toiletry bottles and put them on top of clothing inside my carry-on so I could simply unzip and open my bag and they were easily seen. When I make a salad I put everything in a bag with the dressing and shake it. When I make pancakes I put the ingredients in a bag and shake it. I use them as packing cubes. You name it, I've used them for it! Great bags!!

Product is great to use . Especiaif you are in the kitchen by yourself. Be sure to set the bag up right put in a small amount to help secure the bottom and bag do not move. Then continue to fill the bag. Make sure to leave enough room to close the back without spillage.

I purchased these freezer bags to try because I store my parrots' food in freezer bags to keep flour moths and insects out of their pellets and seed. I've tried other bags over the years (including Ziploc) and even only filling the bags 1/2 way the bags would tear open just below the zipper. I decided to again try these freezer bags and so far, so good. They seem thicker than I remember and more resistant to tearing when I tried to tear it by pushing my thumb through the top of the bag. What I really like is the zipper. I have severe arthritis including in my hands but these are very easy to seal. I find it easy to line up the zipper and I can hear the zipping sound as well as feel the zipper closing as I seal it so I know the seal is intact. Another plus I've never seen on other products is Ziploc's Easy Open Tab; one side of the top of the bag is higher than the other to make it easy to open. Finally, I freeze the birds food for a few days before using and the bag hasn't split open. Now a downside. I purchased the 60-count freezer bags double pack a month ago for $10.18. I now see the most inexpensive offer is $19.63! I checked my order and it was sold by Amazon.com Services, Inc. which I'm assuming means I purchased it directly from Amazon; now it's only available through third-party sellers.
