Mighty Max Battery 12V 18AH SLA Internal Thread Replacement for Vision CP12180

About 11 years ago i did a natural gas conversion on my generator, which was one of the best things i have done. My generator is a 7000, 13 HP with electric start. From the first day i started it, it never cranked over like it did with this battery. I was amazed. Both batteries have the same identical technical specs, but this Mighty Max really started the generator. I haven't had the generator running for a couple of months or so and after topping off the charge on the battery with a Tender Jr., I swear it turn over once and immediately started. Good buy. You won't be disappointed, AND the packaging was very good. I read some reviews on other similar batteries where the battery didn't even show up, or the packaging was so bad the battery was damaged. This packaging was really good considering the weight of a battery. Good job...

This is the second battery I've purchased. The previous battery lasted several years.

Would buy again, size same as original

Be aware that although this battery is listed as a replacement for the CP12180 the terminals are actually reversed. The positive terminal is on the right, negative on the left. Otherwise the battery was an exact match to my original CP12180. My cables were long enough to reach. Shipping was fast also.

Only time will tell how long the actual battery lasts, but the advantage this battery has over the others is the screw-in post. The other batteries look like direct replacements, but with the posts positioned about 3/4" further in that the original battery, I could see I would have problems getting the cables to reach, and to bend in the proper orientation. With this battery, I just bolt in the jump cables and I'm done. Perfect fit and it couldn't be easier. The battery was charged and ready for immediate use. I would buy this again.

When I ordered this battery I wasn't absolutely certain that it was the right dimensions for the compartment on my black max generator but the description was putting it very close to the size I needed. I ordered the battery and installed it without a problem. It fit the battery compartment perfectly. Connected the cables and with a turn of the starter key it was cranked up and running. Excellent product! I highly recommend this battery to anyone who needs one for their BlackMax 7000 Watt Generator.

A cheaper alternative to the original working ok so far

Delivery is fast and the price is right. Ran into small problem with the 2nd one I bought. The screws were a little too long and the negative post would loose ground contact. Have to tap on it once in a while to make it work. It is usable but a little aggravating when you first install it and nothing happens. And no, I did not use the too long screws and twist the post too hard, it came that way.

Works great. I would have given it 5 stars except for one issue... the dimensions of the battery are the same but terminals are reversed. Fortunately the cables to the starter were long enough that all I had to do was cut a zip tie to make it fit. In fairness to the vendor, it's something I could have seen if I'd thought to look at the pictures a bit closer.
