Quite the bargain, and I got this on a lightning deal. They were the exact size I needed for my medallions. Fifty of them will go a long way for future projects. My only complaint is that all the chains were packed in a white box(see pic). It was a bit of a rats nest. They were all tied together, but that didn’t help. It wasn’t hard to untangle them, since the chains are slinky.

These are used for our “Bootcamp” dog tags for school. The students love wearing the tags on a chain after we go over how to properly use classroom tools.

I just unpacked them. I compared these my old key chains with the same ball size. The old ones may just be "broken in" but they are a lot more flexible and feel sturdier. The new ones are unused and stiff and give me the impression they are flimsy and might not survive heavy wear. The chains are stiff and unpleasant to the touch. I would not wear them with anything it would bother me to lose. I gave them middle stars because I've not WORN them yet. They can not be wrapped in as tight a circle as the old ones. When I played around with them, gently squishng them into a straight line so all the links were inside the balls then pulling them apart, the new ones felt damaged: the old ones moved smoothly.

This dog tag chain is perfect in extending an existing similar short chain. I easily attached the 2-foot dog tag chain that was the same size as that of the ceiling fan power chain. Easy to set up.
