I like products like this, when they're done right. I switched to these, because Ritual Foods stopped making their whole energy bites.It takes two of these, to equal one of the bites I used to buy. So I'm already spending twice as much money, which is horrible value.The taste does have caramel notes to it, but it also tastes and smells like chemicals A LITTLE BIT. It's mostly noticeable while biting, and gives off a permanent marker quality.They also do melt very easily, so be sure to keep them somewhere cool (not in your backpack). Once they change temp, they fall right apart.I would recommend these for their ease of function. You really only need to eat a piece of candy or two, and you're more alert for a bit. If you can't drink coffee, they do the trick.Please don't rely on these every day, as they have a very high sugar content!

I use Awake to give me a little extra caffeine boost in the morning. Its also a treat ! Heard about it from a tv reporter who uses Awake during long stretches of election coverage.
