Best Christmas gift

This journal has great prompts and makes for some interesting thoughts, but, it’s a soft cover book which has already curled corners. The intention is to leave it for future generations so it’s not going to be hard wearing. I will have to cover mine with clear sticky plastic to preserve it and as a result, feels like it’s lost its value. I wish it came in a hardcover. I would have been happy to pay more.

Up to now as I am still writing would like a blank page in order to extend my memories. I am aware there are some but would ĺike more. But good questions so good information about me.

The basic idea is good but for me, it didn't make any sense as it is not a guided journal for the past generation it's more a book where I write my story down more or less in solitude... which defeats the purpose in my opinion. Despite that, you can see plenty 'empty' pages to fill the book. Lastly, I bought the paperback and the pages are too fine so that you can see your writing partly on the next page and the whole book feels very flimsy. Nothing you pass down for generations... it's like a workbook, use it and dispose it.

This book is incredibly touching. It asks important, thoughtful questions that really help capture a mother’s life, memories, and experiences. Reading through it made me realize how many things I wish I had asked my own mother before she passed away. It’s a beautiful keepsake and a meaningful gift that helps preserve stories that matter most.

I love this book. My daughter will one day receive a very special gift. I bought a second one for her in case she decides to have kids one day and she can pass them down. Knowing your family history is important and it’s so special coming directly from the source. Would definitely recommend!
