For a fluval spec 3, do i need to use the whole bottle or can i just use half?

The bacteria will die most likely, use the whole bottle....and be careful how many fish you it in...you can use 30 bottles and if you have too many fish, your ammonia will not go away..you really should cycle the tank first....I learned the hard way unfortunately.....if you really want a to get rid of ammonia, buy an eheim canister filter, fill it with just "seachem matrix bio rocks".....no sponges....get that bacteria growing...you should be fine in 2-3 weeks....remember, that's all the fish need is bacteria, not sponges , and other useless crap...

It does not create ammonia directly. However, the dead algae cells decay and mineralized which can produce small amounts of ammonia.

I forgot to shake the bottle...do I need to start over? Also, it left white residue spread all over the gravel is that normal?

You do not need to start over. Maybe add some aquarium water to the bottle, shake and pour into the tank. The white residue is normal.

Is it safe to use if I just used rapid fix ich repair on my tank ?
