Outstanding item, the weather is heavy duty, as is the inner paper material. Looks extremely old and medieval. No doubt a top quality product. Highly recommend product and company.

I bought this journal because I wanted to start creative letter writing for family and friends - I got exactly was I was looking for! I love this journal, it gives a great vintage feeling, and has a nice leather smell to it. The color of the paper is also super cool, and the paper thickness is exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely expand my use for this journal eventually, I’d like to try painting on the paper next! I also love the bag it came in, and it is nice to be supporting a small business.

Awesome craftsmanship and when, I reached out with a question, concerning about wanting to paint a design on the outside, and needing to know what the leather cover was treated with for the finish and softness, (so I could use a compatible Paint/Ink)... They answered very quickly and then seemed very interested and kind in their response! .... While I did changing the closure , (but only to meet my specific design needs) ....And in no way, does it need to be changed to begin with it, as works fine as originally designed) ..(I just like to add bits and bobs, to make it my “own”.) ....I am using this lovely journal,for a written and watercolor field journal. ....I thoroughly enjoyed receiving it in such perfect shape ( it came in the best cloth pouch that I also dyed and painted and I am using it to hold my wiping cloth, field palette and water brushes ( and sometimes even add a snack👍).... I fully recommend supporting this company, (as you will not be disappointed!)... ...I purchased the smaller journal as it is the perfect size for me, to put in my pack for my hiking in the mountains (or even just walking at the Park, near my house) I like this one so much, that, ...I am hoping to buy the bigger size journal,for my desk at home, in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my leather journal because I wasn't sure what to expect. The photos on the page don't really do it justice. It's a very well put together book and very visually pleasing. The only thing that I have a hard time with is finding the right writing implement to use with it. Blue pens don't seem to show very well if at all and typical black pens aren't very visual, so far only my drawing pen has shown to be the best thing to show what I'm writing. Perhaps that's just because my pens aren't good? But I digress, it's still a beautiful Book and works wonderfully for my Book of Shadows.

So, I got this to do some scrapbooking and visual daydreaming 😀. Things like these are just my type of thing. It feels great to the touch. There’s a slight leather smell when you get close enough to sniff it. I love it. I am now on the hunt for a type of pen that is dark enough to write on the pages and appear a bit faded. I don’t know how to gauge quality since I haven’t been using it for years but it does feel like good quality. It really beautiful, gives you the sense of olden days, which I am completely here for.

Words cannot describe this beautiful artisan book. It IS well worth the price. Haven't seen this kind of quality in a very long time. Would say that these books would make GREAT heirloom scrapbooks the generations to add to its pages. Beautiful...
