Sturdy and functional. I teach at an Academy for adolescent males. The chairs fit all sizes of people and still look new after months of hard use. Not the most comfortable things, however that element helps my students stay awake in class(and prevents teacher, administrator and parent meetings from going too long...;-). )

I've been searching high and low for relatively inexpensive chairs that would look cool in my design office around a black conference table when I happened upon these classic school chairs. What a great find! They are comfortable, sturdy, and offer a surprisingly modern look for something that's been around a long time. They were packed/shipped well with no scratches. If I need to expand the office, I'll definitely order more.
