QualGearQG-PRO-PM-PCO-B Pro-AV 1.5" Npt Threaded Pipe Connector with Opening Projector Accessory

Since my Epson LS12000 weighs nearly 30 lbs, I needed a sturdy pipe to hold it securely, and this worked well. I also ordered a bracket, that connects to 2 studs in the ceiling (vs only 1), making it more secure. This is universal so will fit just about any NPT brackets.

The price was so good, I was afraid of getting a "you get what you paid for" product. I needed this to extend off of an existing "big name" A/V branded pole. I was excited when I found this, yet, in all transparency, I expected a thin, soft aluminum pipe that would make me wonder about the integrity of my project. However, I was COMPLETELY wrong! I ordered this extension as well as the suggested coupling. The material is solid! Well made and NOT a thin, soft aluminum. - Completely satisfied with this product and will continue to buy QualGear accessories!

I used this to install my Epson LS11000 projector on a drop ceiling. It is sturdy, holds all the weight required, with a good paint/coating. They advertise a cut out for cable management and that was not there. While not critical to my install it would have eased routing of cables to the projector.

Not much to say. Its a metal threaded rod and it does its job well. Sturdy material and plenty of thread so I feel my ceiling mounted projector is well secured.

This is great if you want a quality pipe that you know is going to fit and look great with your mount. I needed to extend how far my projector was from the ceiling and this was the perfect length for me. It matches the rest of the mount so it looks great and also came pre-greased so it went on smooth. I would definitely recommend this over some generic pipe which I couldn't even find an equivalent at Home Depot. If you need to extend your mount, do yourself a favor and get this!

Solid product and nice to have available. The image shows a hole in it but there is no opening. Tried to leave response to company and waited a week and no response.

All mounts are not created equal! I was very impressed with the design as well as the build quality of the mount. My previous setup used a Chief mount extension, which did not have the level of finish and fit of the QualGear mount. Excellent powder coating finish, packed well for shipping and the removable plastic cable access port is very well engineered. Definitely will look for QualGear products for my next installation.

Did not use it - was unecessary to hang the projector.

Like the cable management and powder coated finish but had to give low score due to the 1 1/2" pipe thread not being fully threaded so would not screw into adjacent fittings. Was committed to completing the installation so had to rent a 1 1/2" pipe tapping tool to get it to fit.
