Life-changing
This food saved my cat's life. He had constant bladder infections for two years. We were always in and out of the vet, and it got to a point where he had to stay for 3 days with an IV and get flushed out. We'd tried a lot of other things, but then my vet recommended that he go on this food for the rest of his life. We started him on this right after bringing him home from the vet hospital six months ago, and he has been the picture of perfect health ever since. For the first time in two years, he hasn't had a single bladder infection. We have two cats, and the vet said it was safe for my other cat to eat as well, so there was no issue with trying to keep the cats from eating each others' food.

After my cat had bladder stones my vet put her ...
After my cat had bladder stones my vet put her on this food. It makes her drink more water and pee more. It also is supposed to dissolve any stones that are building thus preventing the need for surgery again. I tried a different food for a while when I moved and couldn't find a place to buy it. She started straining to pee after a week or two. Immediately, I put her back on this diet and she is ok again. I don't think I'll experiment with any other foods. Thanks to Royal Canin for making this food. She likes the taste and it keeps her healthy.

happy - doesn’t need yearly exam to tune if $$$
My cat has been on this food for about 10 years. I usually buy it at the vets but I’m away. I tried to buy it on Chewy but they require a prescription. My vet office would not write one because it’s been awhile since I’ve brought the cat in to be seen. An indoor cat, happy - doesn’t need yearly exam to tune if $$$. Was able to buy without prescription from Amazon. Happy not to have my cats caretaker try to switch foods but price was considerably higher. Well worth my peace of mind.

It does wonders for cats prone to blockages but can be a llittle harsh..
Reviewing on the food itself (and not the price here vs. the vet) This food works miracles in keeping my cat free of another crystal blockage which cost well over 300.00 to diagnose. However after 2 years on this food and I find it makes my cat sick some days, he often vomits water and sometimes shows little to no interest in the food. Sadly switching him to any other food immediately causes issues no matter the quality, no matter if its wet food, low ash content and grain free... So I'm kind of stuck in a rut. He's 12 years old so he's aging and I think this food is not gentle enough on him anymore yet is the only thing keeping him from a blockage that can be deadly so this is what we get him in hopes the pros out weight the cons.

Must have!
My cat has urinary disease and must have this food in order to live. The vet put him on this food a year ago. I can make a trip to the vet to get this food every time or I can order it online. It is expensive but worth every penny as he has been well for over a year since he has been on this food.

So convenient
This is the best urinary food we've found. Our cats were prescribed this by their vet, but she was closed for several days and we were out. Even though we tried to give our cats a temporary replacement until we could get some more urinary food, our cats went crazy, practically eating everything in sight, including us! Even at a slightly higher price, being able to order this via Prime has made our lives and our cats' lives a whole lot easier!

Be careful
I’ve been feeding my cat this for years since he was diagnosed and treated for bladder crystals. Been no problems since but aside from the fact that it’s pretty much a scam to require a vet prescription for food that has no medicine in it (which this particular amazon seller doesn’t do) every now and again they jack the price up to upwards of $200.00 when you can get it for 60 (with a vet script). It’s a scam. But the real reason I’m writing this review is to save your cats life potentially. Look up consumer affairs reviews of this food in recent batches and everyone’s cat is dying from kidney failure from it. Be aware

Excellent results in my cat within few days
I live in Venezuela, and it is almost impossible to find this medicated food in my country. I found it possible to by it online, at Amazon, and ship it to a company in the United States that forward it to my city Maracaibo by sea. It took only 15 days to get it to my house. I highly recommend the dry food. My cat was having lots of urinary disorders. Since I changed his diet he is urinating more and seems to like the food.
