Not an easy replacement but works perfectly!!
Replacement for broken Dyson, trigger switch (faulty design in early model!!) Great value for money but would have been lost without having a great "teardown" uTube video to guide me on a tricky task.

Fits Dyson V10 and V 11
This is a much improved trigger switch for a V 10 Dyson Hoover, this is much stronger than the previous one as fitted by Dyson.

Dyson V11 Trigger Switch
Ok, bought this to replace a broken trigger switch on a Dyson V11 cordless vacuum. Given the number of videos online this appears to be a fairly standard fault & not what you would expect from such an expensive machine. This replacement switch claims to be ‘extra strong’ and there is a marginal difference in the thickness of the plastic & it appears to flex in a similar way to the original, so time will tell if it lives up to the claim.Disassembly, replacement & re-assembly took around 45 minutes following one of the videos on YouTube & the item was a perfect fit and the vacuum now works properly again. Fitting is a little fiddly with the main issue being the cabling & routing of wires, but overall a relatively straightforward procedure. For info. I also bought a Rolson 59133 4pc Pick & Hook Set at the same time to help with the wiring.Something which would have set my mind at ease a little sooner was that it’s difficult to see how the switch can work as it appears to be in the ‘on’ position when you put it back together, however, the mechanism becomes clear when you re-insert the battery pack 😉😂

Good fit but complex repair
Be prepared to completely dismantle your Dyson to replace the trigger, you’ll need a long Torx 10 to remove the internal screws and trigger assembly. Getting the wires back in can be helped by tying them onto a wire or string to guide them back through. Overall a good replacement part.

Worked
Did the job. A bit involved to get to the part in order to replace it, but online videos provided that detail. Far cheaper than a new vac. If your Dyson is cutting out & the filter light keeps coming on but the filter is clean, this will fix it. We purchased it with the relevant screwdriver which is necessary when you get further into the disassembly.

Improved trigger and straight forward to fit
When our 3 year old Dyson v11 began working intermittently and then stopped altogether I decided to check the internet to see if there was a known problem. It turns out there is. The plastic trigger can break after a while so when you press your finger on the trigger it just bends inside and doesn't activate the on switch. This replacement version is a bit thicker than the original in some key parts yet still fits well. I watched a YouTube video of how to take the v11 apart to fit the trigger. You have to completely disassemble it. I would never have worked out how without the video, but with the video and a few simple tools it was easy to fit the trigger and reassemble everything. It took less than an hour and I used the opportunity to give everything a good clean. Our v11 is like new again now. I have a sense of achievement and we saved a fortune over a replacement.

Brilliant replacement
This was a perfect replacement to a broken switch. Great quality and great price.

Was slightly long
It did the job and seems strong, however the bit that applies pressure to activate the battery (turning it on) was slightly too long which meant the Hoover turned on when you inserted the battery. I fixed this by shortening it slightly.
