No, it's just as "messy" as regular chalk. The glitter does really make the chalk art so much prettier! The glitter stays in the chalk.

will this shape fit into walkie chalk holder?

No I don't think so. Each piece is rectangular. If your chalk holder is cylindrical, this chalk won't fit.
