Very entertaining and instructional at the same time. A very difficult topic to teach and yet this author does it with superb style and clarity

BUY THIS AMAZING BOOK
To say that I am smitten with Paul would be an understatement. I watch hours and hours of his fantastic YouTube series and am usually blown away by his demeanor, passion, delivery and telegenic visual. What an amazing man. The podcast is wonderful and his tweets beg your following. I love this man. He is my hero. However, to say that I can't write an unbiased review would be a critical error in your judgement. I can and do, all the time. This book is perfect for everyone, young folks just getting interested in cosmology because their parents bought them a first backyard telescope for Christmas. Physics students, interested adults and just about anyone who has any interest in what is beyond our atmosphere, would consider this a great purchase, Paul's gift is his way of translating complex theories (they are, after all, theories and thus complex by nature) into understandable pages of knowledge. You can feel his passion through the printed word, endearing you to his scientific mind. His amiable, gregarious tone does not overwhelm the reader with frivolity but instead helps us realize that science is geeky, nerdy and totally fun. This is the best book I have read since Hawking's "Brief History of Time" (which pushed me into enrolling in my first astronomy class). No shade to Stephen, but "Your Place In the Universe" is far more relatable and unambiguous. I say someone give Paul one of those prizes everyone is always talking about - Pulitzer, Nobel, whatever. Paul deserves all the accolades that have already been given for this book. Paul is simply an amazing man and I really love this guy a lot. I better stop here before I run out of adjectives.

Excellent explanation of a difficult subject
Profesor Paul Sutter has done an excellent explanation of a difficult subject (it's a subject that is very difficult to explain). Somehow the author was able to make it interesting with his touch of humor how he explains it.I still have a question for the Professor. If the beginning of the Universe was created with the big Bang (Explosion) and the author states that all actions are recreated equal or similar with some differences. I believe than that we should expect an (Implosion) at the end of the Universe (something collapsing violently inward). A shrinking of the Universe. What do you think?

Very entertaining
Paul has a wonderful style of writing, as he does speaking, and you feel like he's in the room explaining the universe to you in this book. This book is full of fascinating information. I don't like the title. It doesn't fit but Paul said he is not the one who came up with the title. You won't learn a lot about your place in the universe from this book, but you will learn a lot about the universe itself. I also highly recommend Paul's Ask a Spaceman videos on YouTube. They're great!

What? Huh?
Read the first chapter and thought, "This is nice. Easy to understand and the author has a sense of humor." After that, each chapter got a little tougher to get through. Still recommend it, but it was not the book for beginners that I expected.

Does anyone know why this book isn't available for download or purchase anymore?
While I have only read a small portion of this book and have been patiently waiting for the Audible audiobook version of this book to be released, a few days ago I noticed that A) still no Audible audiobook version, and B) that the entire kindle version of this book says it is "currently unavailable". Does anyone know why this Kindle book is "currently unavailable" now and/or when there will be an Audible audiobook version of this book available?

Can we get a sequel, please? Thank you!!
From what we know regarding the origins of earth and our solar system, all the way to black holes, antimatter, and the cosmic web.Paul covers all the bases in his objective to explain our place in the universe. He possesses a unique conversational and humoristic writing style that grounds the subject matter, helping to explain things in ways people from all walks of life and interests can understand.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in all things pertaining to the universe and wants to learn more. So much fun to read!!

Doesn’t disappoint
I am a big fan of Mr. Sutter and I follow his youtube videos so my opinion might be biased. The book contains chapters on the history of astronomy mixed with chapters containing the latest information on various astronomy/cosmology concepts. It also has a chronological order taking you from the origin of the universe to its most likely demise. Great book, an easy read that I highly recommend.
