UPDATED:PROS: I loved that this package came with the cell phone hookup and a tripod - you do not get a nice tripod like this, even with the more expensive monoculars. The ease of use of the monocular is as good as it gets. The clarity of the image is very good, better than expected. I like the it is waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof, and that it is protected against dust. It is easy to carry and light enough to handle for long periods of time. I strongly recommend this monocular. I might add, customer service is stellar, if for any reason you need to contact them!CONS: The package came delivered in a bag - I ordered two; one for me, one as a gift - one of the boxes was crushed, thankfully the other was in good shape and that is the one I gave as a gift. (The monocular in the crushed box was not damaged.) The wrist strap is a nice feature, but if you have large hands, getting your hand through the loop is going to be a tight fit.

buyer’s remorse Viajero 12X50 Monocular Telescope, So I just shelled out $50 for this puppy and am sitting on the fence as to return or not.. first the pluses slick ads on YouTube Excellent work on effective engagements and successful migration to Amazon site. followed by my action. A purchase. Other pluses include enticing pricing and what turned out to be really fast delivery and great personation as packaged was opened.. .I have been looking for sort some of photo supplement capability for use on my iPhone SE.. that my grandsons and I can enjoy while outdoors. hiking, camping, floating, swimming, driving down country roads the highway having fun and learning as we go.. capability that is close to hand, simple, reasonably quick to bring into action as opportunity presentsHowever I may have oversold myself on this as when I opened up the pack it dawned on me that what I thought I was getting the ability to zoom in from miles around.. along with the excitement and this was not what I had bought, you know snow leopard stuff.. ..And I sit here with buyer’s remorse I already have those attributes in other devices - small compact binoculars so this is probable a return despite the manufacture and seller everything right.. I may explore deeper translation - more money - as it would be great to have a device microscope, telescope lol managed through my iphone’Thanks for reading

This is such a great sized monoscope! Not heavy at all, easily fits in my hand. It can fit into a pocket or a purse for travel too. Everything was packed nicely and carefully. The scope itself was wrapped in a velvet bag, then in plastic. It came with a lens cloth to clean, a wristband to attach for carrying safety, a cute tiny tripod no taller than my hand, and an adjustable cell phone holder. The scope was simple to set up and use. I was quite impressed with the range of viewing! If you're a birdwatcher or nature lover, I suggest putting it on the tripod and letting it sit in one area to view daily. When using with your phone, put the grabber on your phone first and line up the hole with your camera lens, before screwing on the monoscope. Be careful... It's a little finicky to line up the threads just right but not too tough. Don't zoom your camera.... Zoom the scope. This will be a great thing to use at the nature preserve to watch the wildlife on the beach! I'm happy with this item!

Purchased for an upcoming trip to some national parks, along with several other binoculars. This is intended to be used as a smartphone "zoom" and an easy way for our toddler to see animals that are far away. I have a Barska 10x binocular (Storm), Tasco 10x compact binocular, and a Barska 8x compact binocular. When compared, the 12x monocular magnifies on par with the 8x. Maybe slightly more, but only by a little. The 10x (Barska & Tasco) both magnify a lot more, and comparable to each other.That being said, we're using it for the ease of a toddler and the smartphone attachment.You get what you pay for. It does focus easily and handles well. It's nice and compact as well. Magnification is soft outside of the center of the lens, but at the center it is fairly clear and sharp.Smartphone adapter takes a little work to get it in the "sweet spot" but when placed on a tripod it should get average photos of distant objects. You will have to "zoom" the camera on the phone to get rid of the ring.

I use this product to view the wildlife in my yard and neighborhood. I love that it’s lightweight, fits in a coat pocket and can be used one handed. I can quickly aim, zoom in, focus and enjoy the view all while using one hand (I’m often walking the dog while doing this). I was surprised and thrilled at how far away I could spot a Great Blue Heron sitting in the reservoir. It also has a convenient feature of using your phone camera to take a picture of what you see thru the monocular. The phone easily attaches to the monocular with the included phone holder that adjusts to fit most phones. There is also an included tripod that very easily attaches to the monocular to hold the phone camera steady. When using the phone camera, I definitely needed both hands. The pictures I included in this review show the view thru the monocular lense without zooming in on the phone (which is why you can see the black circle framing the shot). But you can zoom in with your phone camera to get even closer to the object and get a fantastic shot without any black frame. This monocular will come with us on every walk and hike.
