Quite a difference
Started with an Ascend Trek paddle. It has a slight oval to it. I ran tap water over it while pushing only. If you try to grip it, pull it or twist it during install it seem to force the water out and lock on. Push and twist only. Sounds kinky, right? lol. So it's cold here right now. Tried a touch test in the am and there was a big difference from the temp of the aluminum to the silicone grip which will make me very happy getting on the water in the early mornings. Will make thing more comfortable for sure.

I wish I had known about these sooner
I just added these kayak paddle grips to my paddle and it made a huge difference in comfort! My hands no longer cramp up when paddling. They were easy to slide on with water, but once in place they do not move. I went 8 miles on my last outing. I just bought another set for my partner.

No blisters on long paddles.
Takes a while to install but worth the effort. Very comfortable without or with gloves. No slipping.

Kayak paddle grip
Feels great. Could be a little tighter on the paddle shaft.

Thick foam. Soft Grip.
These weren’t the easiest to install but weren’t exceptionally hard either. The issue I had was that there was a thin rubber coating over the grip sections of my paddle and the foam did NOT want to slide over it, no matter how wet both were. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the foam grips so didn’t want to cut the pre-installed thin gripping.I did eventually wrestle them on and am SO glad I did. Dang. What a difference!1. It’s a nice change knowing exactly where to place your hands. No more rebalancing the paddle. Grab and go after the initial adjustment.2. After several hours out paddling, there is far less strain on the hand and palm. It creates a more comfortable grip that lessens pressure on the hands.I can’t say anything about the longevity of the product. I got them late in the season. We will see how they hold up through the winter and what happens with regular use in the spring.

Not the easiest to install but worth the effort
I read many reviews before purchasing these hand grips for my paddle. Despite many of them being accurate in describing the difficulty in getting them set in the right place on the paddle handle, I purchased them anyway. The same reviews also described these as being amazing. All of them were on point. These are great quality grips but they are a pain in the rear to get all the way onto the paddle as well as trying to fine tune the location to suit an individual's needs. Even though I still haven't been able to get them to move to the exact location I would want them they still make a HUGE difference in paddling. Without them I would get blisters between my thumb and forefinger and now I don't. They are absolutely worth the frustration to put them on. FYI: The difficult installation is not because of a product lacking quality, it is because once you get them on you don't need them moving around on you. They are the epitome of anti slip technology. PURHCASE THEM!

Only needs one tweak to be perfect
I would only change one thing on these kayak paddle grips...improve the fit and gripping power. On the one side where I allow the paddle to rotate (blades are in offset position to better cut through the wind when out of the water) the grip does not stay in position and migrates toward the center of the paddle. When I'm out for several hours, that grip actually isn't even under my hand by the time I return to shore. The other grip, where I'm applying steady heavy pressure, holds in position fine. I LOVE the color varieties and the softness of the grips. The directions to put them on the paddle are GREAT!. I'm going to try plumbers tape under the rotation side and see if that helps hold the one side in position better.

A must have
If you love kayaking then these are a must have. One side is easier to get on than the other. Makes holding the paddle more comfortable. Controls blisters. Love the bright colors. Buying another set for the other paddle. Hopefully, they’ll last. 👍🏽

Not really impressed with these
My Seyvelor kayak paddles have a shrink-wrapped vinyl sleeve over them, as standard from the factory. No matter what I do or how much water I use, these simply will not slide over that sleeve and I think that if I use anything else (i.e. washing up liquid) then they'll never stay put afterwards either. My opinion is that these have been made just that bit too small, so I'm left with the option of giving them away to someone else to see if they'll fit on their paddles.

These cause more problems
These are not good what's so ever the raised grips just rub on your skin causing skin burns. Nasty buy a pair of gloves instead.

Defo needed these
These have made a massive difference for gripping a wet paddle. A must have.

Be aware it works on 30 mm shaft , not 28 mm shaft
These grips fit the 30 mm fibreglass shafts but are loose on the 28 mm aluminum shafts . The details ( but not the description) mention it is “suitable for paddles with a diameter of around 30 mm.”.I tested for 2 hours with grip on the right fibreglass paddle but the left side without. I only had one blister on my left hand. The next day I tested again with both grips and no new blisters. That’s success.

Much better, install tip to follow
I much prefer paddling with these on. They feel great. A tip: use rubbing alcohol, not water to put them on. Now I don't know if the alcohol will do something to the material and so maybe this is bad advice. But it took well over 20 minutes (and lots of swearing) to work the first one on with water, and then recalling the advice for bicycle grips, 2 minutes using rubbing alcohol. Up to you
