The Religion of Early Ireland
The book is complete and a good read with one exception. The development of how much the Druids effected life and how it was lived was touched on lightly leaving a misconception of life during their time.

A beginning...
This is a book that addresses Irish history from prehistorical time to contemporary times. It addresses foundational, social, political, environmental, and other dimensions of concern. Even though some people lived on the island prior to its actual settlement, Scandinavian "Vikings" built both major and minor living spaces, or cities. Some attention was given to pre-Christian and Christian religions, but more would definitely have been welcomed. Moreover, addition information about prehistory would have benefited from greater development. Irish mythology could also have been a more dominant theme in the book. What the book did cover was well researched. Particular focus in the political domain was the struggle between the British Crown and the island, as well as Catholic-Protestant conflicts in the modern age. It is a serious, if relatively brief, read (184 pages). There was some word misuse and some misspelling. Overall, I recommend the book for an overview of Irish history.

Very interesting.
I learned a lot from this book. My admiration for the Irish increased considerably for enduring all the hardships they have had over the centuries.
