Hangs straight, and the weight is perfect! It's heavy enough to give me some interesting vibrations that light weight pendulums aren't capable of. I've had quite a few pendulums in my life- wood, crystal, metal - some beautiful custom ones, but this brass pendulum is by far my favorite, due to the excellent weight and balance of it. Plus it's cute, and it's small enough to fit in my pocket without being lumpy.

A little smaller than I imagined. But I Love it! I Love it that much I'm buy another to hang in my car. Another to my collection.
