A great product designed for people like me ... and others with my needs.I live in an RV. And love it, thank you very much. Cooking on an RV kitchen gas stove, however, is an experience most home cooks wouldn't cherish. Though gas cooking is great, low heat is normally LOW heat. Nope ... RV low heat is at best, sort of med-low ... too hot to braise or simmer. Industry standards demand, and should, safety first. Inherent drafts in a 'recreational setting' are dangerous, as the flame may be compromised and gas may escape ... whoops! Rather than invest in serious safeguard measures (money lost), they simply make the lowest burner setting high enough that the flame won't die.Forget simmer ... forget effective braising techniques, greed wins right?Oops ... this resonably priced product solves the problem (in my experience anyway) with pans with up to 11" bases.Highly recommended.

We used these under our apples when we were making applesauce and had no problems with the apples scorching.

Creates the best simmer burner on the planet. I have a designated simmer burner on my stove and I still use this thing. No more burned on oatmeal or over cooked eggs. I’ve had one of these guys in my kitchen for so many years I can’t count. When our house burned to the ground, this was one of the first things I bought. These two I got for family members after they admired mine.

Great product! I have had 1 in my kitchen (mine was the old fashion type) for many years & use it on a regular basis for sauces, soups, stews, puddings, etc., anything that needs cooked with an even heat distribution to avoid scorching, sticking, burning. By keeping the heat a little lower this product will eliminate all that constant stirring as well as hovering over the stove.I bought this for a friend for Christmas-she now wonders how she got along without it all these years. She is so pleased & very grateful.

I bought these originally to use while camping. Anyone who camps knows the hot spots you get off a propane or white gas stove. these cured that problem. My wife also uses them when cooking her tomato sauce down., no more scorched spots, and boiling pots that need constant stirring.

The diffusers are wrapped in a sticky film that is impossible to completely remove. It seems as if it was applied BEFORE assembly, so it is caught under the rim. I am not going to ruin my gas range top with melting plastic or chance a possibility of fire. It's a shame because they appear to be of good quality, heavy-duty with nice handles and the simmer plate itself is thick. Such a shame. I am returning.

These are standard diffusers and work well. My biggest issue was the blue film that covered the top and bottom. The bottom piece must have been put on before the top and bottom of the pan was fused together. It was stuck under the fused edge and impossible to pull off. I tried everything, soaking it off in water, using a small narrow tool to dig it out, a lighter to melt it off, and even resorted to Goo Gone to dissolve the film. Nothing worked well. Withe all these methods I managed to get 95% of the film removed. I have a brand new stove and worried the plastic might melt on to it. Luckily it didn't. The top piece pulled off easily.

Love the removable handle. Dishwasher safe. , but no need except for first use (if that).

Makes cooking on my propane stove much easier with better distribution of heat
