Does this lightning to sd card reader workable for all apple products?

Can i transfer from my iPhone 8p to the card

I have not been able to remove photos from my phone to a card yet I’m sure there’s a way to do it I’ll have to Google it and figure it out but basically I’ve been importing photos from my SD card to my phone. That works great!

Does it show up as sd card in picture transfer? nothing comes up for us? where can we verify its there?
