Great value for a functional smart button
Initially, I bought one of these smart buttons with the hub as a kit just to try it out. I did run into minor issues when connecting the hub to my BroadLink account, but it was nothing major as I resolved it in a few minutes by resetting it. The smart button was pretty easy to pair with the hub, but I did have to have Alexa discover new devices before the button registered a click to Alexa even after enabling the BroadLink skill.Like the other reviewers said, Alexa sees the unit as four motion detectors. But all you have to do when creating a routine is to set it to when the button detects motion. At the time of this review, each of the four buttons only serve one action. No double clicks, no long presses; only a single click. In order to turn on and off a light, you will need two separate routines, which will require two of the four buttons. But at this price range, I think that is still acceptable.I actually liked this smart button so much, I bought 5 more for various smart home devices around my home and labeled each button. Although they do trigger the routine, it does sometimes take 2-5 seconds before the routine triggers. I can live with that delay, but you may want to look at a quicker alternative if you need the quick routine response.I haven’t noticed any of my six smart buttons going into “sleep” mode. I’ve left several buttons untouched for days, and when I press a button, the routine still triggers. So far I haven’t had any major problems with these smart switches but they seem to work well for what I paid for.

Game changer. Triggers Alexa Routines. Programming retained after hub unplugged for 15 minutes
BroadLink Smart ButtonUpdate- Docking one star. I have two of these smart buttons with two hubs. I have experienced spotty performance every couple of weeks and have resorted to rebooting the hub. I am still trying to determine the root cause of this. But proximity from button to hub is not the issue as they are in the same room. I am resorting to putting the hub on a timer so that it reboots once daily. Let's see if this resolves the problem.Update 2 - Rebooting timer is not the issue, it's the Broadlink architecture/servers? itself. I experienced extreme lag, sometimes up to 1 minute before the routine triggers after pressing the button. It's not my wifi or internet, but Broadlink itself. Triggering the routine on Alexa was quick when Broadlink was lagging. After a day or so, it resolves itself and works again. Until Broadlink app/ server is as stable as Alexa, Kasa, Switchbot, Tuyasmart etc, this is going to be a novelty at best. I mean who waits for a minute to turn off the lights.--------It was either this or YoLink's Flexfob. I have Yolink in my Smart ecosystem, it would have been easier for me to get that, but Broadlink's design is much better. I don't need a fob, I need a switch to mount on the wall, so that people can have the option to push a physical button and switch on my lights vs voice command. This one does it EXTREMELY WELL. Like every reviewer says, setup can be a hassle. I am going to roughly sum up the steps below. Why? Because if you have tons of smart lights and alexa and runs cool routines, you will want this. It's WORTH IT.For eg. I use the first Broadlink to set up: Living room lights ON, living room smart lights mood light (50% brightness in orange), living room in magenta, plays spotify playlist, living room lights OFF, music OFF.It's endless, with a push of a button, you can trigger a complex routine to play the morning news, weather, open curtains, start your coffee brew (if you have Switchbot button pusher), turn on Heater /AC at xx temp.Or how about, switch on all exterior lights, play "who let the dogs out" at max volume, all internal light bulbs switch to Red.I read that some reviewers had to redo programming after power outage. I wanted to test this myself. I switched off the hub for 15 minutes, then turn it back on. After a brief moment, my buttons are back up. I did not need to re-program. NICE.And lastly, as you can see on the pic, Mine came with a backplate that you can either screw in or mount with double sided tape.Get the hub version if you don't have broadlink hub. Then subsequent ones you can just get the regular one. Or an extra hub as spare. It's only a few bucks more.STEPS (as far as I can remember)Make sure VPN on your phone is OFF. You won't be able to scan for WIFI. Happened to me.1. Download Broadlink App. Sign up / Sign in.2. In App, click + sign. Add new device > Gateway > Smart Hub. Follow instructions.3. In App, click + sign. Add new device > Sensor > Smart Button. Follow instructions.4. In Alexa App, click on Skills and search for Broadlink. Install it. (It has the same B logo as the App). After that, search for devices. The buttons will show up as Motion sensors. Add them to Alexa.5. On the button page, click create routine. You can use an existing routine and modify the trigger (ie: Instead of voice triggering the routine, you trigger it by clicking the button) and voila. All done.

Should have read the reviews -not compatible with Android
After spending 3 hours trying to set this up I've decided I'm going to have to return them. I ordered 2, and neither one will complete setup through the Android app. It fails in the final step. It connects to the device broadlink_wifi, then both the device and phone connect to 2.4 ghz wifi network. The light stops flashing which according to the instructions means it's setup, but the app wants to connect to the device once more... But cannot find the device under broadlink_wifi any longer because during setup it gets renamed to sync_ap! I tried following all the instructions (turning off cellular, turning off 5ghz wifi), I tried it on Android 12 and Android 10. I tried even using an older version of the app. For the record I have other broadlink rm devices, loads of tuya switches and plugs, an air purifier, yolink water and motion sensors, larmtek alarm, and kasa switches and plugs. None of them took longer than 10 minutes to setup. I'm fairly well versed in these things. This product simply won't work. Save several hours of your time. Get something else.

Very convenient to have
Love these button panels for adding the convenient ability to control your home automation with a touch of your finger instead of talking to Alexa and they work great with Alexa routines and they respond faster than voice commands.

Great Product. Finally a way to control Alexa Routines.
The media could not be loaded. For reference I have both Alexa and Google connected to my home. I use Alexa to control smart devices, it's better than Google, and we use Google to answer and respond to questions, it's smarter than Alexa. I have over 50 smart devices, bulbs are a mix of Hue and Wyze, cameras are Wyze, smart plus Wyze, and a couple of Meross light switches. Most of not all devices are on a dedicated 2.4g router. I have an old router fixed to 2.4g. this way I have no switching or dropping issues. The hub connected quickly and in a standard process, setup app (in Canada it was the Broadlink universal remote app on Android) find the hub wifi, set to my 2.4g network and it was done. 3 minutes at most. The for the switch select scan QR code option in the pulldown menu, scan and it'll all you'll to confirm the switch, another 3 minutes and your done. If the switch isn't flashing to connect, hold the reset button until it starts flashing. It'll then connect.Next select the switch and rename your buttons, Alexa will display these names so name then to match your routine i.e. all light on, etc.In the app select Me or account, your should see Add Voice Recognition, select then select Alexa, this will connect the hub with your Alexa. Then setup routines in Alexa. Select When This Happens, in this case it thinks the switch is a motion sensor, just select you'll see the button names your renowned earlier, select then when motion is detected, then whatever action you'll want from the smart homes devices. Save and your done.So far this is working perfect, I'll update if I run into the same signal dropping issues mentioned in the other posts. But having the 2.4g network helps.

Works with ifttt Does’t work with HomeAssistant
Fijne fysieke knoppen.
