Fits perfect
This is for my 99 Boxster, perfect fit very easily installed. I've had it on now through some really hot Texas heat and it stays securely.

Great alternative but you get one chance to place it perfectly. It would be nice to have a guide tool.

Pay attention when ordering because they're not the most attentive to your problems
Appears to be a mirror, and the 2nd one I bought seems to adhere.First one had a strange description not listing model years, but I liked the full sized adhesive so I kept coming back to this listing. All I had to go on was a diagonal measurement on an oblate eclipse, that turned out to be off by 1/16". Bottom line I ordered the wrong part, not realizing the banner across the top like Advance/Autozone/Etc. indicating it wouldn't fit was my indicator. (I was shopping for a Porsche and it was telling me it wouldn't fit a 72 Plymouth, so I wasn't paying attention)So I checked about a replacement and was politely told I screwed up. OK, you don't have to make up for my screw up, but sometimes a little goodwill goes a long way.Regardless, the 2nd one appears to work. The biggest problem is that the backing plate you mount the mirror to is a slightly different shape than the mirror itself, so there's no way to properly align the new glass to the plastic backing. Somebody needs to make a template for the mounting because if you are off on your placement, when you put the car in reverse and Porsche helpfully points the mirror down, it can drive it into the body of the mirror case.
