This lens is very well made and of solid all metal construction and should last for many years. Before purchasing this 7Artisans fisheye lens I was trying to use a Rokinon 8mm fisheye with a K&F Nikon to Fujifilm adapter. I still had a few good lenses from my old Nikon system that worked well except for the Rokinon which would not focus at all. For cameras I'm currently using a Fuji XT-3 and XT-20. This lens focuses well and most helpful if manual focus peaking is used. I noticed that the rear element has a threaded area, possibly for screwing on an ND filter in the same fashion as the competitive TTArtisan fisheye. As far as I can tell 7Artisans does not have an ND filter for this lens. Whether focusing up close within a few inches of the subject or infinity, the photos were very sharp in the center with a slight roll off at the edges which clears up a little when it is stopped down. F/8 seems to be the sweet spot for maximum sharpness. The color and contrast is great. It has a very nice feel when focusing or adjusting the aperture. You have to definitely be observant of hand/finger placement before hitting the trigger or it will show in the photo. Lastly, this is the second copy I have of this lens. The first copy which I purchased from a 3rd party vender was soft in the center and the focus markings on the lens were not accurate. Infinity was actually at the 3ft/1 meter marking. Plus it appeared to be a used lens from the packaging. I returned that lens and purchased one from the official 7Artisans store here on Amazon and this second lens performs much better and focuses more accurately. For around $140 this lens is a no brainer if you're into extending your creativity a bit.

Better optically than expected. Far from perfect, but VG for what it is. Note that careful focusing makes a big difference.

I bought this lens twice. The first one was good, but seemed a little soft at the edges. The first one I bought was from another online retailer. The Amazon one I received is tack sharp all across the lens. This is a fun lens which gives you 180 degree view. Yes there is distortion of the view (depending what you are photographing, inside/outside, and how you hold/point the lens), but I have been able to correct the distortion if I wanted in Lightroom to "straighten" out the view. I have a couple other wide angle lenses but this is a lens that really opens up the world, in creative ways! The manual focusing is easy with focus peaking. For the reasonable cost of this lens, it's a great value.

I find this lens reasonably sharp considering its price - $120US. It isn't extremely sharp, but I didn't expect to be. It is good at f/2.8, but doesn't seem to improve much stopped down. It seems solidly built. It does not work on any Canon EF or EFs mount, or on any full frame camera. On full frame the lens shade cuts into the field of view. (A number of one-star reviews reported these issues.) It is unfortunate that the lens hood is non-removable; this would resolve the lens-shade-i-view problem, but doesn't bother me and my APS-C Canon R7. The lens is completely manual - no aperture control, no autofocus. I got this lens about a week ago; no problems so far.

The best diagonal fisheye. Shoots really great action sport videos on cropped Canon sensor. The colors and clarity are superb.

A fun little lens, especially for the price. Fairly limited uses, but for them it's great. On my micro 4/3 Olympus it is equivalent to a 15mm lens on 35mm, making it useful for some types of architectural photos. Of course, as a fisheye there are curving lines. On micro 4/3 it does fill the frame; I suspect that on APC you might get a circular image. There are some quirks to be aware of: No click stops, and no marking for f11. (My TTArtisan 25mm has click stops, but also none for f11. What do they have against f11 in China?) It focuses past Infinity. Neither of those is a major problem once you get used to them. On the whole, I am happy to have the lens.

This is a great manual focus fisheye for the price. I’ve bought several over the years, and some are a real chore to get properly focused. This one is sharper than most at 5.6f, where most don’t look good until 8f. It’s not as good as a major brand, but it’s also 1/10 the cost. It feels well-built, it’s dirt cheap, and it’s reasonably sharp… really the only thing I don’t like is the hood/wings built into the lens body. Since it’s so cheap, I think I’ll just take a Dremel to it and cut them off. I’d prefer to have more of a circular fisheye. I wouldn’t dare do that to a $1000+ lens.

- A la réception beaucoup de positif pour cet objectif à faible coût. Bien protégé, belle fabrication tout métal (y compris le pare soleil et le bouchon protecteur pour la lentille frontale). Lourd donnant une impression de robustesse, il est livré avec un étui tissu. De petite taille, il se glisse facilement dans une poche ou un recoin de fourre-tout. BON A SAVOIR : Avant de pouvoir utiliser cet objectif sur un appareil Canon à monture R, il est indispensable d’aller dans les réglages du boitier et de paramétrer sur ON la fonction « déclenchement obturateur sans objectif » (voir photo). Si ce réglage n’est pas fait il sera impossible de prendre une photo et l’on pourra penser qu’il est incompatible. - Un bémol d’importance : la notice est en Chinois et en Anglais uniquement ce qui ne donne pas envie de la lire. Lors de la première utilisation de l’objectif j’étais passé à côté du réglage que je viens de décrire. J’ai été à 2 doigts de retourner l’objectif. J’ai trouvé la solution tout seul, en fouillant dans tous les menus du boitier. Si la notice avait été en Français (obligation légale), j’aurai vu la capture d’écran relative à ce réglage et je me serai épargné bien des tâtonnements. Pour ce motif j’ai retiré une étoile. - A l’usage : pas d’autofocus mais on prend vite ses marques. L’ouverture entre 8 et 16 et la distance ente 1 et l’infini conviennent dans de nombreux cas. A noter que l’habituel point rouge rappelant le point de fixation sur le boitier est ici placé sur la baïonnette et non sur le côté. Pour le reste, c’est un régal de l’utiliser dans des cas très différents : paysage, architecture, urbain… Bien sûr le Fish Eye très typé il ne faut pas en abuser. Les photos sont claires et bien définies, bonne maitrise du flare et des images fantômes. En post traitement il est facile de rectifier (ou pas) quelques déformations excessives, de jouer avec les perspectives, ou de ne conserver que la partie centrale pour avoir des panoramiques originaux. CONCLUSION : J’ai déjà eu à plusieurs reprises des objectifs Fish Eye, mais celui-ci est le premier que j’emporte partout (sa petite taille est un atout supplémentaire). Je suis vraiment satisfait de cet objectif, et si c’était à refaire je l’achèterai à nouveau.

purchased this lens for my eos-m tto use as an astrophotography ultra wide lens. I already own a samyang 14mm f2.8 for my full frame but now need to reduce the weight im carrying out on night shoots due to health reasons. i have not tried this on a night shoot yet but plan to put it through its paces on dartmoor later this year. from the few test shots i have taken in the garden, this is a lovely sharp lens feels solid and corrections easy in lightroom post editing. looking forward to seing what this produces on the milky way photos due it's extreme wide field of view. excellent lens and at this price point a no brainer.

Joli objectif, facile d'utilisation, pas de cran sur les bagues de mise au point et d'ouverture. Très contente du résultat sur les photos. Utiliser sur un Lumix G90, bon poids sur le boîtier, encombrement mini. Idéal pour les photos de paysages, de rue et de nuit

Habe die MFT-Version für meine OMD erworben und bin begeistert! Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung, Metall, schwer, liegt gut in der Hand. Die Bilder knackscharf von vorne bis hinten, selbst bei Offenblende 2,8. Habe während meines Urlaubs in München fast ausschließlich damit fotografiert, um die gewaltigen Bauten und Innenräume der Kirchen umfänglich aufs Bild zu bekommen. Angenehm: Der Fisheye-Effekt ist nicht sehr ausgeprägt, natürlich wölbt es sich am oberen und unteren Bildrand, aber wenn man das abzulichtende Objekt in die Mitte setzt, hält es sich in Grenzen. Dazu eine Offenblende von 2,8 - für den Preis einfach unschlagbar und ich kann nur jedem, der mit dem Gedanken spielt, sich ein Superweitwinkel zu kaufen, empfehlen, es zu testen. Tipp: Vom "Unendlich"-Anschlag des manuellen Fokus einen Millimeter zurück stellen und das Bild ist durchgehend scharf (sofern man keine Objekte absichtlich in den Vordergrund einbringt). Von Blende 2,8 bis Blende 4,0 konnte ich keinen Unterschied feststellen, erst danach blendet das Objektiv ab. Ist aber kein Problem, meist fotografiert man mit Offenblende und sieht die Helligkeit auf dem Display. Klare Empfehlung!

Lensin malzeme kalitesi beklediğimden çok daha iyi. Önceden kullandığım sigma balıkgözü lensimden daha iyi. İlk dokunduğunuz anda bunu hissediyorsunuz. İlk etapta keskinlik açısından da ikisi arasında bir fark göremedim. Bu sebeple ilk izlenim olarak 7artisans beklentimi aştı diyebilirim.
