Great idea for a gadget
Hung one of these on my door so my family knows when I am meditating or on a work-related call. Turn it on and they know to be quiet in the vicinity of my room. It runs on batteries or USB and is brighter than you'd expect. If the hallway lights are out this thing leaves a pronounced glow that is easily seen at a distance. Not a cheap single LED in other words.

ON AIR SIGN LED LIGHT
While bright, there were some issues. The first was that placing the battery cover on caused the lights to cut out; bending them in more resolved the problem. The second, and most irritating, was that the USB connector did not do anything. I tried different cords and adapters and the sign would not light up with the USB alone. This defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. It is OK if you want it as a desktop novelty or don't mind fixing issues/not having full use but I'd avid it otherwise if you want something more dependable.
