Thin Walnut Boards 1/2" x 8" x 24". Craft Lumber (5 Pack)

I was able to use a few of the boards, but a couple came in warped. One of those is virtually unusable.

When I order something that's described as "Prime Black Walnut" and "No Knots", that's what I expect. The pricing is really good, but had I not read those keywords in the description, I would've given a higher rating.A) This is not Prime Black Walnut. It is Walnut, and it comes nicely planed and sanded.B) 3 out of the 5 boards I got had small knots that were fixed with glue and sawdust and sanded over. I know because that's how I fix knots as well... Only I do a much better job at disguising the knots.

The listing for the wood states "No Knots" and the pictured wood is clear (no knots). However, four of the five boards I received had a number of pin knots (as many as 12). The wood is walnut as advertised, but the quality is less than expected.

Ordered 5 pc hoping at least one would have excellent grain... They ALL DID! only needed two for the project. Now I'm going to have to make another project. Can't wait to see what I can do with the other 3.

I have ordered these a few times, the 2-pack, 5-packs and 10-packs as well, a couple times the order was fulfilled perfectly, wood was as described - lovely and sanded smooth. I see that there are multiple vendors selling this product, so be mindful of that if you are a potential customer. The recent order that I received (shipped from exotic wood zone) the wood was as rough as could be, not sanded at all, poorly skip planed with divots and checks throughout, some were tapered, they had different width and thickness and heavy tool marks visible on every board. Not at all "ready to use" as advertised, by the time I re-plane these boards I'll be lucky if they will have a thickness of 7/16" more likely 3/8", the wood was less than "Prime" and even the packaging was poorly executed without much care. Very disappointing!

I took a chance on these after reading the other reviews. The boards I received were just as bad - cupped or planed so badly that I needed to plane down almost 1/4 inch. Do not buy if you are looking for a full 1/2" board, as you will need to surface it quite a bit to use it. Only 1 out of 5 was usable out of the box.

Statement says "No knots, no cracks" This is the second order I have had with at least one board from five useless and not meeting description. This time two boards have knots, the worst one also has white sap wood on one side which, to be fair, was not denied in the description but the knots were. If ordering these boards allow for plenty of wastage. I will not be ordering again from this supplier.

The wood was so warped it couldn’t be used for anything you wanted to be remotely square. It was not planed only saw cut. Very poor quality product
