Optimus Real Time GPS Tracker AT PLT

I am testing this unit now, and I am very impressed. It was a little thicker than I had imagined (its a bout the size of a modern camcorder battery). This is small, but a little thick, and a little heavy. It will still easily fit in a pocket, or a purse if needed.The location was spot on when outside. In the house, I have gotten +/- 75 feet, which is in the general vicinity. I am not sure how long the battery will last, but I will try and update the review when I have more data on this.The unit updates its position every minute, like clockwork. The only exception is if it detects it isn't moving, and then goes into battery saver mode. If it fails to move, it will cease transmitting data. This will allow it to go a longer period without needing a recharge.Activating the device wasn't that bad, although there was about an hour and a half gap between when I first activated it and when I received my login information. That's a little slow, but you only do this once, so I will try not to hold it against them. The tracking service website (optimustracking.com) is pretty well made. I made some geofences pretty easily, and the interface was intuitive. You can manually poll the location if needed, and even in battery saving mode the unit will respond. This will let you know the device is actually not moving if you think its been still for a suspiciously long time. You can also change the polling interval from one minute, to five or ten minutes. This will save battery on the unit.I installed the optimus android app, and its pretty well made as well. It has the same functionality as the website. The app used a bit of battery on my Galaxy S4 after 20 minutes of straight use, but this is probably not a normal use case. You would probably be in and out of the app in 30 seconds in most cases. Since I was testing, I was constantly updating it.... so while this isn't a big deal, people who want to use their phone for continuous tracking may want to take note.The only big problem I've had so far with the service is that I only received SOS alerts through the app. I did not receive emails or SMS messages. I will have to see if geofences have the same issue. I almost knocked off a star for this, but I have a feeling it may be because I configured and tested so quickly after getting my login. I will see how it works tomorrow and try to update the review.Update:The geofence notifications worked, however at the moment they are only working with a single email. Text message notification also worked.Update 2: All notifications worked shortly after the above update. I put it in my wife's car (for testing purposes). She drives to work on a 9-5 schedule, and is parked most of the day. She did about 45 minutes worth of travel. Battery dropped ~10% per day. I can imagine the battery wouldn't last nearly as long if they were constantly moving. The product was pretty accurate and did its job. I'm about to attach it to my 3 yr old kid as a loss prevention technique on a vacation. Its a little bulky for this, but I'm hoping it does the job.

We have put in the company car and We can see the movements the car does. We noticed that the driver spend too much time in personal things. this device it helping to us to improving our times with the pick ups and drop offs. the reports are very friendly and I'm amazed how the technical support team respond all my doubts, they responded all my questions.

Ideal for my intended use. Minute by minute tracking let me know exactly where my car was. It's small and unobtrusive. Great price, easy set up and I can access the tracking from my phone. Perfect.

Setup was easy on the website. The app on my iPhone was ready in a few min and it works great. I emailed their customer service with a question and got my answer right away. I recommend this seller and the tracker.

The unit is faulty and never works right and their customer service sucks. The representative (which there is only 1) is argumentative and rude and won't except the fact that their unit is below subpar and does not fiction correctly.BAD. DO NOT BUY
