I took some furniture that has a great shape that I ruined from plants (watering) and it would have taken days to refinish properly, but I just painted it with Saltwash and chalk paint. I did a few different coats, first wet, then a dry brush technique. Just as good if not better than a pro refinish. If you love beachy, French painted furniture, Coastal, or Swedish faux antique finishes, this is a must for your arsenal. I’m not sure how durable it would be in outside weather. **Q: Do I have to sand stained wood before painting with Saltwash?** A: I always prime my projects either by sanding or using a primer.
