I searched many sites for several days until this pedal showed up on Amazon. I wanted to get a decent low cost pedal to use with my cajon for jam sessions. The slightly cheaper pedals I looked at don't have the nice wide sturdy base this pedal does nor did they look as well built and beware, some are sized for a child's foot. The metal base also has two adjustable pins that can be set to protrude from the bottom to keep it from sliding around on carpets. It has a dual chain and I was easily able to use the available adjustments to fit my particular use and my big feet! As I said I use it with my cajon. I can keep a beat and play my guitar but i mostly use it along with my other percussion instruments such as cabasa, rhythm sticks, shaker etc. I turn the cajon around with the sound hole facing away from me using the pedal to beat on the face. I also found that by moving it a little further away from the face I can get a little softer beat than when it is very close to the face. I've been using it a couple of times a week for about a month now without any problems. It's enhanced our jam sessions and expanded my percussion efforts. I purchased it based on a couple of 5 star reviews I read (Thank you!) as I'm not a drummer and didn't have any knowledge of pedals except what I read. If you do a search you can find some good bass drum pedal buying guides. After reading a few of those I felt this pedal had some good features. Although the pedal came in a box, the inside packaging could have been better as some of the sharp edges cut through the bubble wrap. My pedal did not have any grease or metal shavings on it. The price has gone up a few bucks since I purchased it January 2021 but I'd buy it again.

This pedal is as good as brand name foot pedals its built solid and it has no foot slippage when played hard a solid base keeps it flat on floor I would recommend a different batter bar although it's soft and could be used both for electronic drums and acoustic bass drum the price was unbeleivable and could be played professionally and also for beginner drummers

Amazing proper kick pedal. Beater is perfect so the sound quality will be based on your bass drum, this is normal how you would expect this item to be anyway.

For the price, this can't be beat. I'm a beginner and it took some adjusting, but once I did that, it works great. It's way better than the stock pedal that came with my kit. The only complaint I have is the diameter of the beater hole. It seems to be smaller than a standard hole I'm guessing, because I've had trouble getting a couple of other beaters in it. I'm currently using a yamaha double sided beater on it that I couldn't fit it all the way in, but it's working fine for my purposes. I'm able to get quick double and triple strokes out of it with very little effort. If you're a beginner and looking for a sturdy, responsive pedal, I highly recommend this.
