Own a piece of history These nightstands are made from 80 year old Reclaimed Douglas Fir salvaged from warehouses built before the US entered WWII. Used to store goods to be shipped out to supply or troops in the Pacific Theater they served a vital purpose in the war. I am using this wood to build the Vaquero Bedroom collection. This beautiful rough sawn wood clearly shows the saw marks imprinted during the milling process 80 years ago. The tops measure 24 x 24 and stand 34" high. There are 3 MDF drawers faced with rough sawn 1 x 8. I use soft closing bearing slides for the drawer hardware. I rip the same rough sawn 2 x 6 used in the Vaquero beds to make proportionally sized parts for the legs and frame.
