Caution item may not be as described - You may recieve the older 2000 Model
This item is described as Oral-B Pro 2 2000N CrossAction Electric Toothbrush. However, like other people described I received an older model PRO 2000 which is not such a good value. The PRO 2 2000N has a better lithium battery which lasts longer and is ideal for going on holiday. The PRO 2000 has Ni-MH.I returned the item pointing out the error and the replacement I recived was again the Pro 2000 rather than the 2000N. I shall have to purchase elsewhere. In fairness to Amazon I am a regular customer and this is the first time I have had an issue with ordering a product on Amazon and wonder if it is this particular supplier trying to offload old stock.

Two failed batteries in a row
The first example I received self-discharged after a full charge within 24 hours. Amazon replaced it. The second does exactly the same. This time the option from Amazon was either accept a refund, or speak to an 'expert'.. I had already called Procter & Gamble (owners of Oral-B) who weren't particularly helpful, wanting me to send it to one of their service centres. More delay, more hassle, consumer's time of no concern etc etc - and clearly the person I spoke to at P&G was no more 'expert' than my cat.Another reviewer has pointed to a known problem with these new Lithium-ion powered Oral-Bs and as I have received two faulty ones in a row (batch produced in June 2018 in case that helps anyone) it looks like P&G has a quality problem here, so be warned.Down the years Oral-B's electric toothbrushes seem to have got worse with each generation . The early NiMH ones were good but later examples I've owned have suffered poorer and poorer battery life. The move to Li-on batteries should have been a positive one but P&G's quality control has let them down. Maybe it's finally time to switch to another brand?

Oral-B Pro 2 2000 - pink
I've put the model as the title of my review as, when I was researching brushes, some of the reviews for different models seemed to be mixed in with each other. Which isn't helpful as you click on what you think is a diff model and get all the same reviews up.Anyway. I had an Oral-B Sonic Care with a rectangular brush head and my dentist told me to change to a round head and said "all Oral-B models can take the round head attachment". Foolishly I didn't question this and ordered the round heads....only to find that they don't fit the Sonic range.I contacted P&G (makers of Oral-B brand) to ask some questions and they were very helpful. I didn't want a brush that connects to a phone app (not sure why I would need such a thing - and it's just more stuff to go wrong). It also had to take the round heads (as I now had 4 in my possession) and I queried the negative reviews that I've been reading about battery life. The recommendation was the 2 2000 model.I've been using it about 10 days now and I must say - my teeth have never felt so clean (except, perhaps, after a hygienist appointment). Still on my first charge - this model's charge is stated as lasting 2 weeks. So far - loving it.

Third one and no luck at all..
This is my third toothbrush since Christmas, the first two were 2500N black and both have been returned. I am going to return this one aswell as there’s a gap between the head and the body( shown on the attached photos). The conpanybreplied to my review for the first two and advising the head to be fully inserted into the pin of the body. Yes, on theory I know what to do , having had Oral -B electric toothbrushes for years but the reality is different. The noise and vibrations that the toothbrush makes into my mouth makes me shiver. I believe this is due to the head does not get fully fit to the body. I read other reviews with the same problem. I’m just wasting my money buying unfit for purpose toothbrushes from Oral-B. If anybody from the company read this, please send me a proper toothbrush, I will gladly return this one.

Affordable, efficient and actually works
After using this toothbrush for the last two weeks, I can safely say that I'm never going back to a manual toothbrush again. This was actually recommended by my dentist, and it has drastically helped to reduce the staining on my teeth. After use, your teeth feel smoother and your mouth just feels so much cleaner than by using a manual toothbrush. The toothbrush buzzes every 30 seconds to tell you to move on to the next section of your mouth, and does one final buzz at the recommended 2 minutes. In my opinion, it's quite difficult to get a good clean in 2 minutes - it's a very different brushing technique compared to using a manual toothbrush. It's also handy that the red light turns on if you're pressing too hard. This is a great product if you're starting off on your electric toothbrush journey. It's very affordable (compared to some of the higher priced toothbrushes) and the brush heads aren't that expensive either (includes a spare head in the box). Be warned that you will need to buy a shaver adaptor if you want to charge it in a normal plug.EDIT: Over a year later, and I'm still using it! Never going back to a manual.

Light years better than manual brushing....Do not put it off......Change to an electric toothbrush today
I have used manual toothbrushes for my whole life but as the years whizz by and the my gums recede I was finally persuaded by my hygienist to convert to an electric toothbrush. having now been using one for about a year I am wondering why I never converted sooner. This toothbrush is excellent. I think it has all the features that you need - and perhaps some you do not. I like the red light that lights up when you press too hard. I do not take much notice of how the brush monetarily changes its rhythm when certain time points have been reached. There are other brushes available with even more features. Personally I think you only need a basic brush like this one.If you purchase one do watch the various videos on YouTube that explain how you are supposed to use the product. Lots of hygienists have posted videos that are really useful.I have now used it for a year. There is distinctly less scraping and spitting of blood when I see my hygienist. So less pain for me. I am very happy with the product and would strongly recommend.
