Azmira Holistic Animal Care Yucca Intensive(8oz)

this product is incredible. my 8 year old pit bull was diagnosed with back arthritis and it came on fast, from running and playing one month to not wanting to jump in the car the next, the breed hides pain for as long as possible. i immediately upped his dosage of glucosamine, chondriotin, and msm, and added hyaluronic acid, but i needed something to stop the pain. he was prescribed rimadyl, which worked well, but at only 8 years old, i couldn't imagine keeping him on a painkiller regimen for years and years, he is otherwise totally healthy and normal. my vet informed me that back arthritis is particularly unresponsive to supplements because the swelling and irritation involved with arthritis pinches the nerves leaving the spinal column, as opposed to normal joint arthritis where the problem is just the joint and surrounding tissues. i purchased this product with high hopes of it working as well as the description says, but not really expecting much. in a week, i had him off the rimadyl completely. it works extremely well, and while i still limit his exertion and physical activity, he is back to jumping into the car and onto the bed. He's a little stiff in the morning when he first wakes up and gets sore after a ton of exercise, but it's MUCH better than it was before he was on it, and i'm beyond excited to not have him on prescription pain killers, not just because they are bad for him, but bc they are expensive and a pain! this product is just one of those rare things that actually does what it says it does. i give him a little higher dose than they recommend on the back bc his arthritis is pretty bad, and i combine it with nupro joint support powder, which masks the nasty taste and smell of the yucca. every now and then he still turns his nose up, i just add water and that turns the nupro into a nice gravy and he eats it right away. buy it!

My dog has bad allergies and gets reddened inflamed skin. I'm not sure if this product has helped, though it has not worked any miracles. It may be worth a try, and I continue to use it hoping it has some benefit.

My 8 month old Golden began limping about a week before she started her first heat cycle and the limp moved from leg to leg to shoulder and around and back again. A moving limp with her first heat made me sure she had Panosteitis (Pano) which is similar to the bone malady "growing pains" in children. Typically the bone issues are painful and can last for many weeks or even many months. There is no cure, it is self-limiting and will eventually go away, but if there is pain evident it should be treated. She didn't seem to have severe pain, but she was a tad uncomfortable. I refuse to use drugs like Rimadyl as I think they do more harm to the body than good. I kept her quiet as much as I could and decided to wait it out, hoping that as soon as her heat cycle was over the limping would be resolved. Not only did the limping not go away, it seemed to get worse and I knew it was time to do something. She had her first dose of Yucca Intensive with dinner and her second dose next day with breakfast. By the time I gave her the third dose with her next dinner her movement had already evened out and the only reason I noticed the slightest limp was because I was looking for it. By this morning, IN LESS THAN TWO DAYS, the limping is completely gone! She had a fourth dose with this morning's breakfast, and as I write this I am watching her cavorting around, pouncing on her toys, and racing in the yard with my 3 year old Golden, something she has not done since all this started. I have to conclude she was feeling it more than I could tell because now I see she is obviously feeling much better. In the future I will always have Azmira Holistic Animal Care Yucca Intensive on hand to treat any type of inflammation, arthritis, etc., and I highly recommend it. I know that it works, my pup Brette told me so, and dogs don't tell lies!!!

Great stuff. I give my arthritic dogs the recommended doses on the advice of my vet. It seems to help them stay limber and have less pain. My oldest dog is 17 1/2, a cocker/doxie mix and my youngest is an 11 year old beagle with disc problems. My third was 12 1/2 when she passed two months ago. She had degenerative disc disease from the time she was 2 years old and this helped her avoid heavy pain killers for most of her life.

While it's a bit pricey, the stuff really works. For our dog, it was instrumental in her recovery from bloody, explosive IBS. It helps maintain a pretty good consistency in her stools. Now that she's getting old, she seems to need it more for her joints. Yucca contains strong saponins and that's what calms inflammation.I tend to give her at least double the suggested max dosage, if she is acute. For maintenance, I give her the regular dose.As a bonus, yucca makes her urine not discolor the grass.

I ordered this for my dog sammy who has an aggressive form of cancer. So every moment counts with these herbs. I ordered this product on the 13th or 14th and had nobody tell me that it would be THREE weeks before they could even ship??? Wow trashy company and service... At least communicate when you have an order and cant fill it within a few days. Stupid companies hoping you dont notice how long they make you wait, well I ordered through another company and they had no problem shipping the next day. Sad...
