**Q: Does the water level always have to be at max when starting up .**
A: We suggest filling the water up to max each time the product is being used.

**Q: How many years can I realistically expect this product to last  ? (max 2 hours of weekly usage)**
A: My best iron yet.  I think it's about 18months old and is as good as new.  No loss of steam pressure like my previous irons.  but i have used de-ionized water since i have purchased it.  Hope this helps you

**Q: Does this have iron an automatic switch off**
A: This iron was the worst iron I've ever bought after 4 days of use it spat out a dirty brown stain all over a white shirt and stained the sole plate it was sent back for a refund so do not buy it,  I have had Tefal irons for many years but this one was a bad one.  To answer your question I'm not a 100% it does.

**Q: does it come with a Uk power plug moulded or non moulded power plug?**
A: Hello, This Steam Generator Iron does come with a moulded UK 3 pin plug.
If you live in a hard water area like us (Kent) you will need to use ionised water or it will scale up very quickly.
This can be bought at ironmongers, I buy it by the gallon can.

Light and fast to use, quality item

This is a good steam generator iron, but not great. On the plus side, it generates a lot of steam, the iron itself is lightweight and the removable water tank is a great feature. The auto-temperature feature also works very well. The negatives for me are all design-related. Starting with the controls, these are the 'blister' type, so no real positive feedback when you press them, the labels for the controls are printed in white text on a silver background (some are backlit when in use), so can be difficult to see. The iron sits lower on the base unit than the design suggests, which takes a bit of getting used to, and if you stand the iron vertically, the integrated stand is prone to allowing the iron to fall backwards due to its light weight. The steam button is also very sensitive, resulting in steam being dispensed when you might not intend (and you get a lot of steam...). All that said, the hose length is very good and the integrated cord storage does work quite well. Too early to tell how durable this unit will be, and I suspect the blister controls will stop working before anything else does. Not sure I'd pay the full price for it, but it's often discounted and therefore worth considering.
