Bought for a studio with huge windows and harsh light. I hung them behind the sheer curtains and if diffused the sun perfectly!

You can do so much with this. String it between lightstands to diffuse strong sunlight. bounce light into a dark room. Cover distractions. Get rid of items in reflections. the list goes on and on!

I wanted this fabric to cut down down and make diffusion scrims for a new set of LED lights. They are nice material and worked as expected - just clip them to the barndoors and instant diffusion. Cut then so that I could fold several layers to adjust the diffusion effect, which is different than just dimming the light.

With one layer of this fabric it will not diffuse light even remotely well. There is still a very bright hot spot, and whatever material is used / how it is sewn causes the light to bloom unevenly, rather than an even diffusion it largely stars in the horizontal and vertical axis. With two layers it's better but at that point it's much more unwieldy.
