Household Essentials Vintage Wood Storage Trunk, Large, Blue Body/Brown Lid/Floral Design

Got this to replace her old, beat-up, cheap Rhino trunk. Although it's made of very light wood, seems pretty solid and the light weight is a plus. I put small stick on furniture sliders on it and it moves around easy. The positional lid is really nice and it won't pinch any fingers. The design/painting is nice and it looks like it's been around awhile in a good way. She's very happy with it, Happy wife, Happy Life ;). Would buy it again.

Beautiful chest! Holds all of my grandsons toys and easy for a toddler to open and shut.

This chest is beautiful and well made. The color is a greenish blue but mostly blue. Highly recommend.

As other reviewers have noted, it is green, not blue, but I'm relieved that it is a muted olive green and not bright green. It's pretty neutral, and I love the design. What I don't love is the color of the wood top. It's more orange than brown. I'm going to have to refinish it. It's a lightweight piece, really too fragile for a toy box, which is what I am using it for, but because it sits in our great room, I needed it to be attractive, and that it is. There is no latch or loop for a padlock, if that matters to you. The arm that holds up the lid is metal in the one we received. One reviewer stated that hers was plastic. Ours clicks into different positions as it is raised. Because the lid is not heavy, I'm hoping we won't see any loosening of screws or bending of the arm any time soon. I may have my husband do some reinforcements. It could use some. It really isn't very well made and I'm not sure it's worth what we paid. But I'm happy with it. The item shipped quickly, was well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition.

Over priced, given the quality. But it looks good so there's that. No real metal and the wood is barely thicker than cardboard. Esthetically pleasing to the eye, but cheap!

This chest is the prettiest thing you have ever seen. The colors and patterns on the sides make it stand out in any room. The domed lid allows you to store so much more than it would appear. Well crafted and love the vintage "click, click click" sound when slowly opening the lid. I bought two for myself and one for my sister-in-law. So, so worth it!

I couldn’t believe the cheap quality of this trunk for the price I paid. The picture looks so beautiful. The wood is so thin and the metal looking hardware is just painted cardboard that is glued on. Mine arrived with a piece broken off. The back of the trunk is just painted solid black so you would need to have that against the wall. The one thing I did like is the hinge that opens the lid holds it up and was smooth opening and closing.
