Always cold? This is for you!
Purchased for my 93 year old Mom who is always cold. The quality is very good. The controls are simple to use. Love that the pad has a timer you can set for an hour or up to twelve hours. My Mom is very happy and warm.

Excellent!
Best heating mattress pad we’ve ever owned. 10 levels of heat with timer, and you don’t feel coils at all.. very comfortable and heats up extremely fast.

Best purchase this year
In the past month I have bought FIVE of these so far - one for me and four as gifts for my friends! They can't stop thanking me. An hour before bedtime I set it on number 4. You can pick a setting depending on how cold you might feel. It has an auto shutoff feature and can heat the bed for up to 8 hours. The heated mattress pad has the option to heat the whole bed or just one side of the bed if that's all you need. This is my favorite purchase in years - I don't know how I never owned one of these before. I chose SERTA because I trust the brand - they've been in the mattress world for years. Go ahead - get yourself this winter treat and go to bed smiling :)

Cozy, customizable warmth for chilly nights
I love this mattress pad for nights when I’m chilled or want to climb into a warm bed. The king-sized version is great because each side has its own controller, so both sleepers can adjust the temperature to their preference. It’s perfect for winter or after a long, cold day. I usually can’t sleep through the night with it on because it gets quite warm, but the automatic shut-off and timer options are convenient. The only downside for me is feeling the wires under my body — I’m sensitive to textures, so I gave it 4 stars, wondering if the wires could be thinner or smaller. Even so, I would buy it again for the warmth and comfort it provides.

Works as intended
Thankfully we haven't needed to test the waterproof part of this yet, but it's there in case. The heat feels oddly distributed to me, I'm used to placing the plug ins at the bottom of the bed, but then the head area feels way too hot and my feet are still cold. So the plug in part is at the top...

DO NOT BUY!!!
I spent a lot of time reading reviews and comparing before I bought this. Hopefully I can help you not make the mistake I made. There are so many bad things about this mattress warmer I hope I can list them all. 1 price; It is really expensive for the poor quality. I admit I did think it would be better because of the price point (over$80 for twinxl). 2 Thickness/ padding; there isn't any buffer. It feels and sounds plasticky because of the waterproofing, you can feel every wire. 3 Heating. the heating is terrible. there are no wires at all down where your feet go so the bed does get warm but the only way to keep your feet from freezing is to sleep in a fetal position. My feet are my biggest concern. I bought this so I didn't have to try to sleep with socks on in the winter, I hate that. Another thing with the feet is there's a huge honking plug there. You have to sleep crooked to keep from hitting the big hard plastic bump on the left and on the right is a huge sewn on directions and warning label which is even more plasticky than the pad itself (and therefore even colder). 4 Plug; Due to the plug being at the bottom the cord then runs all the way back to the hear of the bed to plug in which we had to run under the mattress on top of the box spring to not interfere with under bed storage. 5 The remote; The remote is HUGE its like double the size of a computer mouse and takes up a ton of room. It also does not have a memory so I would choose heat level 3 and 3 hours and every night I had to plus sign up to 3 from 1 and minus sign down to 3 from 8. For over $80 it should remember the setting and I should only need to change it if I change my mind, annoying. I ended up returning this Serta and purchasing the Bwarm mattress pad and it solved every problem. It is not waterproof so I just put my mattress protector over it. It has a thick quilted removable topper over the wires so you can't feel them. it has 2 zones feet and body that can be set separately and it remembers the settings on it's much more appropriately sized remote. The plug is at the head of the bed and on the vertical side where you can't feel it making for far less cord to mess with. I am much happier with the Bwarm all around.
