GLORIOUS GMMK TKL 85% Custom Mechanical Keyboard (White)

This is my first time buying a mechanical keyboard and I wanted something that can be customised/altered in the future with a “less is more” aesthetic. Pros: 1) The black TKL Ansi version I got is a 2020 model which is now USB C which was a nice surprise as the reviews here and on youtube refer to older models that were micro usb. 2) Can be upgraded with different keycaps and switches 3) RGB if that’s your cup of tea. 4) Ansi layout, again if that’s your cup of tea. My PC is still running a ISO layout (as that’s my preference) so will probably replace keys for ISO prints in the future...I just like the ANSI enter key haha. 5) Comes with decent box for storage/transport with plastic dust shield. Cons: 1) have to have brown Gaterons. Would have been nice to have been able to pick the switches...but assume that would have come with a price tag for customisation. 2) would be cool to have a couple more rgb lights under the space bar, only 1 light where the switch is. Overall a great starter kit, with all the bits to get you started, was worth the £150 price tag. Sounds good, feels good, plays good, looks good etc etc

Hi have a 60% keyboard for a good few years, and always felt it was limited to my, I like to use the F key and Arrow key. So when I saw this, I instant wanted my old keyboard to break haha. I got my wish and ordered this instant. It is perfect, the right size and the perfect partner for my Glorious Model O gaming mouse! The feel and sound is spot on for me, but with the ability to mod this within an inch of its live in terms of keys etc. Love it!

The keycaps and the keyboard body feel cheap

This is my sending gaming keyboard for my new setup and I love it, great rgb brightness, and amazing value for money

Using it as a full-time software developer and so far everything works great. The typing experience is great

I can’t fault it. Software could be a bit more intuitive but the keyboard is perfect. Couldn’t be happier

Ero stufo della mia Hyperx Alloy Origins ed ero alla ricerca di una tastiera più compatta e gradevole, avendo già io Model D, è stato facile orientarsi su questa Glorious GMMK TKL. L'ho presa da Okluge, usata come nuova ed a parte qualche segno di sporco, la tastiera è impeccabile. Arrivata in tempi ragionevoli dalla Germania con DHL, provvista di tutti gli accessori; insomma, perfetta per completare il mio setup bianco.

I bought this keyboard because I wanted to try some different mechanical switches after using Cherry MX Blues for 6 years. The process of swapping key switches and keycaps is really easy and they even include a keycap puller and tools for removing the switches. The prebuilt configuration isn't very impressive; the keycaps use ABS plastic which is less durable and is more prone to "shining" (where the keycap loses its texture over time and becomes sort of glossy) than PBT plastic. I don't really like the font on the keycaps either, but the light from the RGB LEDs comes through quite well. I don't like the tactile Gateron Brown switches either (which I'm told are very similar to the highly popular Cherry MX Browns) as someone coming from the clicky Cherry MX Blue switches. They barely offer any feedback when you press the key to its actuation point so I end up bottoming-out the switch every time which I've found to reduce my typing speed by about 20% by words per minute. Obviously, these complaints are easily fixed by installing preferable switches and caps or by ordering via the GMMK website which offers a wide range of switches and a set of PBT pudding caps. I elected not to order from their website because of the taxes & brokerage fees that I'd likely have to pay since they ship from the US, not to mention the Canada Post strike. Aside from those things, the keyboard is pretty decent. The rubber feet on the bottom are really grippy, the construction feels durable, the cable is braided and detachable, and the optional lighting software is decent enough. If you know you like the tactile Gateron Brown/Cherry MX Brown switches already, then this is a good buy. I'll be buying a set of different switches and caps in the near future though because I'm not satisfied with the prebuilt configuration.

great keyboard with good quality and nice RGB, but i had a problem with one of the switches i think it wasn't greased properly so some times when i press it it doesn't come out againg but since the switches is hot swappable i just switched it with another one that i don't use the (pause) key to solve the problem
