My new go-to picks!
I've been on a bit of a journey trying to find the perfect pick for me and my playstyle. I've lost count of how many different kinds I've tried at this point - the sheer number of options available today is frankly a bit overwhelming. For a while I really liked using .60mm Ultex, but getting more into lower tunings (and thus heavier string gauges) has made those feel a bit too weak and overly flexible. I'm a huge Periphey fan, so I'm kinda surprised I haven't come across these before, and from reading over the specs alone I was pretty much sold on these. I picked up the .65mm version as well, and now I mostly switch off between those two depending on the time of day and how I'm feeling (in the morning I gravitate towards lighter picks, and vice versa in the afternoon/evening - though if I'm getting really into playing and start picking too hard I'll step down a pick gauge to avoid going out of tune). They feel fantastic. Plenty of attack, but not so stiff that I stumble over myself with faster stuff. I know a lot of more experienced players, especially in heavier genres, tend to use thicker picks, but I've found that I really need some flexibility in my picks to play my best. Misha has a similar preference as I understand it, so I know I'm not totally crazy haha. I do kinda wish you got more per pack, but they're also pretty durable, so I imagine you'll go through them a lot slower. The pictures I've shared are of a pick I've used a fair amount over two weeks or so - the designs will wear off, but I honestly can't see how that would be an issue for someone. I could care less about how my pick looks, I just need to it feel right and play right.

Slippery and wears fast
First the pros - these are enjoyable to play with and the material makes for a softer attack, if you enjoy that sound. For the cons - these picks are slippery. They come with a powder coating, but that rubs off almost immediately. There is no additional texture to improve the grip like in other Flow style picks. I ended up using a little bit of sandpaper to add some texture and that helped a bit.Given the thinness of these, the tips wore down noticeable faster than other materials (tortex, ultex, etc).Overall, not my favorite Flow pick, but as long as you know what you are getting maybe they will be yours.
