Euhomy Ice Maker Doesn't Disappoint
Skeptical of purchasing an ice maker having looked at so many machines online, all with different views/reviews, unless you spend hundreds, or thousands, on a "real" ice machine, you're not going to get ice-cubes the size you get out of the supermarket. This however, is a brilliant, compact alternative bit of kit, that "hopefully" will save us money in the long run, 2 full bags of ice was produced in good time, the machine works well, long as you keep an eye on it! Once you've got timings right for when the bucket is full, just emptied into an ice bag in our chest freezer and away it goes again, yes it's an upfront cost, but hopefully it'll pay for itself in the long run....

Great ice cube maker
This has been great during recent hot weather. Although my son decided that it was "his" ice machine when it arrived!! Had originally ordered a different machine which got lost in transit, so ordered this one instead. Was on offer, but still more expensive than the "lost one", but it actually turned out very well as this is a great machine!! My son uses bottled water chilled in the fridge, as it cuts down on the freezing time and we get better ice, as our tap water isn't very pleasant tasting and we are in a quite "hard" water area. Using bottled water means not getting much - if any - limescale. It isn't noisy, is a compact size and was definitely a good purchase! No more waiting for ice using trays which always ended up spilling water in the freezer!! I purchased ice cube storage bags with drawstring tops at the same time, so my son just makes enough ice to fill a bag then puts it in the freezer so always ice when needed. Even the "large" ice cubes will fit into most reusable bottles, and they stay frozen for a good amount of time. If I use my cold drinks flask, cubes last for a very long time - longer if drink is pre-chilled It's very easy to use, has ice cube size selection button, when the basket is full a light comes on and just lift out the collection basket and empty the ice into the storage bag. Warning light for if water is low. Based on the only 2 times my son has "let" me use it, it's a very useful machine. It's easy to clean, exterior can just be wiped with a damp cloth, and we usually empty out any remaining water through the drainage hole, and wipe dry. Has a clear lid which covers the area where the ice basket sits, and the water reservoir is below the basket, which helps reduce space needed. Definitely worth the price! Even if I hadn't got it on discount, to me it would be worth the higher price, when taking into account all of the times I bought bags of ice from the supermarket!!! Would recommend

One of Those Things I Didn’t Know I Needed!
I honestly didn’t even know home nugget ice makers existed until I came across this one, but I’m so glad I bought it. As a family we regularly bought bags of ice from the supermarket, so having a machine that can make it whenever we want seemed like a bit of a no-brainer. It is incredibly simple to use and I was really impressed by how quickly it starts producing ice. This version only makes one size, which is fairly small, but that hasn’t been a problem at all. I love it in a big glass with elderflower and 7-Up in the summer, while my nine-year-old son seems equally happy just eating the ice on its own! We tend to let it make a batch, scoop the ice into freezer bags and then keep those in the freezer, so we pretty much always have ice ready when we want it.

Great purchase, would recommend
Now that we have been using it for a good month or so I thought it would be good to share with others the answers to the questions I had before buying. For reference, we are a family of four, with two kids who really like their ice in the summer, and it has gone through two heatwaves so far, so it is being used all day every day. 1. Ice cubes come in two sizes that you can pick, either Large or Small. Small are very small, with the Large ones I would say more like medium. 2. They melt way faster than dry ice. If you put them in a drink that is room temperature, they will disappear in a couple of minutes. 3. They are hollow inside, the way the machine makes the ice is by freezing water around these little metal poles inside it, and then letting them go into the ice tray, so that is another reason why they melt fast. 4. The flavour is a bit weird the first couple of days but that does go away. 5. We use mineral water for it because the water in our area is really hard and not great tasting and I don't know what the limescale would do to it, would recommend doing that too unless you have amazing water in your area. We use 2 bottles of 1.5lt per week or so. 6. It is only noisy when we empty the tray and it has to make 2 or 3 loads of ice to fill it back again. Then it goes totally quiet. Still would not recommend placing anywhere other than the kitchen. 7. It is not that big, from the pictures I thought it would occupy more space so I made room in the kitchen but it is not that massive. 8. We got the black one and it looks quite sleek and modern, I thought it would look a bit not so great. Was impressed. 9. I haven't cleaned it myself yet and it is spotless for now, as I was thinking I would need to wash it every so often (we use it A LOT), but so far it remains spotless. 10. We plugged it into a kitchen wall and the socket has also outlets for USB etc for charging your phone: those stopped working. I guess it consumes quite a lot of electricity, we haven't checked for that yet, but we will not be using it in the winter, so for us it is worth the investment. 11. It takes around 5 to 6 minutes for it to make a new batch of ice cubes, so to fill the tray fully (if you manage to empty it completely), give it a good 20 minutes. Bear this in mind for parties or when you have more than the usual people around, you might want to stock up on dry ice if you can't wait that long. All in all I would definitely buy again, if you don't have an ice dispenser in your fridge, this is the closest to it, saves you the hassle of ice cubes moulds and buying dry ice that then becomes an iceberg in your freezer. Super happy with it. Took out one star just because of the fact that they do melt quite fast if you serve room-temperature drinks, but I would still buy.

Euhomy ice maker.
This little machine is amazing. Bought it for the caravan. 2 bags of ice in less than 1 hour. The cubes aren’t big but they do the job. Very happy customer. I love it.

Expensive for disposable kitchen electric
This ice maker was amazing, fast batches, perfectly sized nugget ice, the machine was a bit loud, but overall fast effective and when I purchased it felt like it was worth the money. I am only giving it 1 star because after less than 2 years, it just stopped making ice. I've run regular clean cycles, descaled, looked at trouble shooting videos, and communicated with their support, and now the machine powers up, the motor runs, but the machine no longer makes ice and they cannot do anything because it has a 1 year warranty. I think for the money and the amount I've used it, it’s should last much longer and there is no repair or trade in option for a refurb, so now I’m creating unnecessary waste because I have to throw it away.

Great bit of kit
This has been a godsend in this heatwave we've had, not very noisy, makes a good amount fairly quickly. I will say as the cubes are hollow they do melt quite quickly but use enough and that's not an issue. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend

I wouldn’t
The machine never worked. The return process was painful. Seller was not willing to engage and didn’t take any responsibility for the quality of the product. Amazon stepped up and kept us whole.

Quiet, Easy to Use, and Makes Great-Tasting Ice!
I purchased the Euhomy Countertop Ice Maker after returning a different brand, and the difference has been great so far. This one was very easy to set up and started making ice quickly. Most importantly, there was no strong chemical or plastic smell when running, and the ice tastes clean with no strange chemical taste at all. That was a major concern for me with my previous ice maker, so I was very happy with this one. It’s also noticeably quieter than the previous machine I owned. You can still hear it operating, which is expected, but the noise level is very reasonable and not bothersome. The ice comes out at a nice size, the machine is simple to operate, and overall it has worked exactly as expected. So far, I’m very happy with the Euhomy Countertop Ice Maker and would definitely recommend it.

Tidy cubes at great price
This little guy looks tidy and makes sweet little clinking noises when ice drops into nicely shaped cubes. Do not fret on first cycle being abit watery. It chills shortly thereafter and truly delivers. It does the job at a great price and freezes wonderfully. I stay near it to load the prepared ice into my freezer but even if I forget it stays chilled and ice is solid for quite awhile. I am still having fun making the ice using this machine so novelty has not worn off months later and working great so would highly recommend.
